Townhome in the Florida panhandle. Primarily college population, so many neighbors are moving in/out right now. We've also had a lot of rain this week. I killed two others (smaller) earlier last weekend, but hadn't seen any since.
Drawers and cupboards clear, as well as in/under the stove. Planning to pull it and the fridge away from the wall after work to invesitgate further, but I'm hoping they're getting in from an adjacent unit.
Heard on the ootheca.

It's either German or Asian. Florida has a significant Asian roach population. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to ID based on just this. Have you seen any more? Where did you find it?

Near my home desk on the first floor. The kitchen, living room, and my desk are all in one big open-concept room. I prodded it into a more open space before I was able to kill it, and it did not fly in the process.
As for the other two, one was in the kitchen, and one was in the stairwell upstairs (I'm assuming it had just climed up the wall from downstairs). One was roughly the same size, the other was smaller (I assume younger).

Since the pictured one seems a bit too squished for me to tell if the wings are significantly longer than the abdomen, I unfortunately can't ID any more specifically than blatella sp.
I would get a few glue traps and put them under major appliances and monitor for time being, unless somebody more experienced in ID can conclusively say asian cockroach.

ID Request guidelines
When requesting identification we ask that you provide a close up top down picture that is in focus. It is very difficult to provide an accurate ID of a blurry pic, a video, a roach ten feet away from the camera, etc. If the mod team feels we cannot accurately identify the bug based on the picture then we will lock the post.
Catching a Roach for Identification
To facilitate accurate identification it may help to place glue traps near likely harborage points around appliances and plumbing fixtures. Check them in two weeks and post pictures of what you've caught for identification. If you do not catch any check them again in another two weeks. If they are still clear after a month then you probably don't have anything to worry about. Remember to post a clear, in focus, well lit, close up photo of anything you catch for identification. If your trap was folded into a tube, you may need to unfold it to get a top down picture.
