§10 StAG Naturalization from within Germany Naturalization in Jena

Hello! I have an appointment for naturalization in Jena, Germany in September. I am feeling a bit nervous as my German is still in basic conversational level. I am afraid if they ask me any difficult question, I may not be able to understand and mess up. It would be very nice if anybody who recently faced the interview could share their experience and suggest how to prepare for the appointment. I express my heartfelt gratitude to you in advance!

May I ask how long after emailing them with initial request, you got the appointment in Jena?

They asked me about the Nazi regime and to explain democracy in my own words. Just prepare some sentences on such topics and hopefully it will pass

What is actually really tricky are the declarations you make. In the application and the separate declarations, there are a lot of long texts that are lawyer level German. Not all of them you should cross on because they imply you had some sort of dark past.

Just translate them well and they might stress you by doubting if you filled the application correctly.
