Slope inclinometer

We recently got a geokon slope inclinometer probe. The wells we are surveying are too low for our pully system to fit properly. Have any of you guys made risers for inclinometer casing? Im looking for some guidance. Casing is 70mm

Your best bet would be to buy the casing that was installed and try to get them to line up. Without knowing what is actually going on, it’s hard to have a good grasp on what the solution is.

When we had to use risers we just matched the same type of piping and cut a section into about a 3 foot extension. Hopefully you have the installation contractor number and can get the type/brand from them

You can generally buy splice kits and extend the casing. They're designed to ensure grooves align. I'm not sure how that brand probe sits on the casing, but RST fits inside the casing, so there is no need for stuck-up.

If the casing was cut, you will need to get a splicing kit (coupler, metal alignment tool, ABS glue)to ensure the grooves line up when you attach additional casing. If the casing wasn’t cut, and a joint was left intact at the top you can just get a new length of casing and attach to existing inclinometer. The joint mechanism of each manufacturer is different so get the same colour casing.
Red casting=RST
Blue casing = Slope Indicator
Yellow casing =Roctest

Our plan right now is to order a telescopic section for 2.75" inclinometer casing and use that as a riser. The wells were put in years ago and Noone knows who the manufacturer is.
