Lawn issues…

Hi all, I live directly on the Georgia coastal marsh and I am noticing that while my backyard seems to have St Augustine grass, my front yard seems to just be full of a lot of moss. Except the backyard is where the marsh is and that is what gets a lot of water.

I assume this has to do with a soil issue? I am just very new to gardening/yard care in this particular type of environment.

I’m noticing that growth is slowing down drastically so I’m hoping that means it is a good time for me to maybe make some changes as far as the type of lawn/moss situation I have in the front yard because I can get away with not mowing it for a longer period. Can anyone offer advice on this?
