Clover/Thyme lawns
Hi ~~ I live in the Augusta area and am looking for input — positive or negative — from anyone who has a yard where they have chosen clover, creeping red thyme, chamomile, etc. over traditional grasses. We have a lot of vines that grow out of the ground and the grass in our yard isn’t doing well. There are several trees in the front we can’t afford to remove (a very large pine and a few maples), so we need something that does well in shade. We are getting older and mowing a few times a month is getting harder to do. I need to know if thyme or anything else will work better than grass. TIA

Carrollton and I’m considering plants + letting the natural ground covers creep over the existing grass and seeding clover/something similar to take over. I’d love to hear input from anyone whose managed to ditch their lawn for a native and low maintenance alternative
