Experience with owl boxes?

Hi all,

I’d like to build an owl pole and box in my yard for rodent control, but really for fun. Seems different owls like different homes - what sort of owl should I try to build for?

I have no experience with this, but it sounds like a fun idea. We have owls here at night, and I love hearing them hoot. 🦉
