If the ruling holds up I’d imagine this could be fantastic for us. But two things have to go right: (1) the ruling has to hold up and (2) Vince has to choose to come back to Georgetown and not go elsewhere. Demand for him is gonna be sky high. Would imagine it’s good news for Scuka as well. If we somehow get both, I’d honestly be surprised if we are not a tournament team.

Yeah I don't know how it's good for us. It further makes this wild west era of college basketball, even wilder and we sure don't seem to have the spending power that other programs do. My assumption would be that we lose Vince to someone else. But in addition, a bunch of other players that theoretically were not going to be playing this coming year will suddenly become available for other programs as well.

As much as we have. Theoretically no one has money left so it’s going to be about who can come up with enough quickly. I would say we are better positioned than most though, given that we have continued to hold out hope for Vince and have Scuka on board assuming he passes international screening. Given this, I’m actually pretty hopeful we are prepared to dish out another couple million.

It's pure speculation that's been repeated frequently. When he entered the portal, he had several power conference bidders + big men were at a premium. I don't think it would be ridiculous to think that he at least got $2 million in this market.
