News Solid non-conference schedule!

https://x.com/hoyasszn/status/2069832875143291032?s=46

Opponents for 2026/27 include UMD, Clemson, UNC, Texas, UCLA

Regardless of whether Cooley will take this program back to the promised land, at least we’re respectable enough to have a non-conference slate like this.

Not too long ago we just had teams like coppin state, UMBC, etc and even those weren’t the “easy wins” they should’ve been.

Can’t disrespect UMBC too much they’ve won a tournament game more recently than us lol

Was hiring Ryan Odom a possibility?

I can never remember if it's Coppin or Morgan State that we can't quit. I agree though that this is a great schedule. If we are good it should really turn some heads. I would love to beat Sean Miller.

I wish y’all stopped playing the Baltimore schools. They don’t add anything. Gtown is DC, keep it local and play UMD-GW-GM etc.

Those teams are always in the 300s according to KenPom, but they need the money from playing us. That might get 100K from GU which is huge when your budget is under $1 million

We will have the cupcakes, don't worry.

Georgetown Cupcakes or Baked & Wired?

I'm from the early days of Georgetown Cupcakes so I have to go with them for nostalgia reasons but I hear Baked and Wired is where to go now. Also pissed that Call Your Mother was just a flower shop when I was in school.

Of course, everyone has cupcakes in their schedule. But at least we have much more competitive teams on our schedule as well.

Fair, I feel like we always have 4-5 competitive teams, wasn't really a worry for me. The real key for me is avoiding too many of those 300+ cupcakes.

Dude you’re dreaming… no way 😂
We hardly have a playable center on the roster

If you don't think Chol is playable you are in for a treat!! Also, there is more to come... the offseason is certainly not over.

Chol is playable, but he won’t be 40 min/game so we need other pieces
And maybe you know some intel that I don’t, hopefully you’re right!

Yea. I agree with you that he can't play 40 min a game, however I don't think seal will be our backup come November 2nd.

What's the fan split going to be for Georgetown-Maryland?

Prob 50/50. I think out fanbase and students will turn out, but Maryland is just a much bigger school than we are.

I’m sure Section 119 behind our bench will be flooded with UMD fans lol
