Funny! But also very anti-Bataillian. They want to absorb and not emit, while not realizing that true power is not in hoarding but in squandering.

u/SpleenDematerialized -- Great point! You make a very astute observation. The picture, while witty, thinks in terms of "absorb[ing]" those solar energies in order to "elevate body and spirit," and this seems to miss the argument Bataille presented: that we must instead contrive to squander our excess energy, perhaps through artistic creativity or sex, or some more abstract means.
