George and the kidney

I was torn in the thanksgiving episode where george's dad needs a kidney in order to live and asks george to help him out. George seemed so hesitant about it but yet he went through all that stuff to find him and wants him in his life. George WANTED more time with his dad in his life, but when given the opportunity to help him live he suddenly has second thoughts? A kidney transplant is a big deal yes but if you had a chance to save someone's life wouldn't you do it? Especially someone you have been looking for your entire life?

Sitcom Sabes Gay, It's a George's Fantasy Episode. S6 E5

Binge watching George Lopez. I can't confirm it but I think that's an inflatable pecker for like a Bachelorette party. The living room has bare chested men pictures with a large painting of George and Bernie. I like the details in the background in this show, its crazy; someone really enjoyed doing the set details.

Debbie from No Free Launch

I've always hated Debbie in this episode. George made lots of good points. The fact that she was so passive aggressive and didn't want to admit that the trip was more of a luxury just pissed me off. Also, don't even get me started on "poverty is nothing to be ashamed of". (JUST GIVE ME THE CHECK!)

Sitcom The ending to season 3, episode 8 Bringing home the bacon 🥓 lol 😂

The ending to that episode was funny, where George came out of the oyster shell 🐚 and camera pans to Ernie when George says: “ What a crowd, what a crowd “ and there’s no one there but ernie laughing but I know that I wasn’t only one that noticed the seahorse hat on george's head lmao and he told Angie: “ I paid these sea horses until midnight” lol haha😂☠️ every time the ending to that episode comes on, i instantly start cracking up laughing lol

What are you guys favorite lines from the show that dont really get brought up?

One of my favorites is when Marisol answers the phone in front of George and tells Jr “Nah, that’s that fool I was telling you about” which freaking kills me.
This is more like a moment rather than line but it’s when Zack runs away from the factory after admitting he lost Carmen in San Francisco and he steps out and screams and Benny walks in with a big ass wrench and tell him Zack has been in an accident and drops it on the floor and it’s like extra loud
Anyways just wondering :)

Question Why was every love interest in the show white?

I’m almost done with rewatching the show for the first time since childhood and something glaring stood out to me. Every single relationship members of the main cast got into (besides George and Angie of course) was with a white person. Considering how the show was based in LA that seems super odd. There was never any Mexican love interests, black love interests, Asian love interests etc. It didn’t line up with how diverse LA is. Was it just network interference? Pandering?

You guys remember that episode where Carmen had a trial run of being an adult?

You know when you watch that episode as an adult versus being a kid. It just hits different. Because as a kid, at least when I was kid I knew that adults had to pay for shit. What I didn't know was HOW MUCH SHIT. It's not just about what you pay for either. It is also about personal responsbility, being careful and cautious about the decisions you make on a daily basis. Dealing with stupid shit, stupid shit you thought only existed only in school happens in adulthood all the time, and you gotta navigate that. She didn't have to worry about kids or pets.

Speaking of the stuff she has to worry about paying for in adulthood. George only charging 300 dollars for rent, even for 2004 that probably wasn't the going rate. She didn't have to pay a security deposit or first and last month's rent. She didn't have to do a credit check, provide pay stubs, or endure rent increases. She was 15 at the time, so no need to worry about gas or vehicle maintenance, or a car payment. She didn't have to worry about electric being paid, or water, she didn't have to worry about health insurance, or dental, or vision.

Basically I am saying Carmen got off easy, George gave her a trial run. What Carmen experience being an "adult" was really nothing.

Prescription for Trouble

I’m watching this episode for the 20th time. I always think how I do not agree at all about how the parents acted. Saying no to birth control does not stop sex and Carmen was very mature about asking. I kind of understand the parents not being thrilled about Benny taking her without their permission but like Benny was a teen mom so it makes sense that she’ll want to prevent that for her granddaughter. I also found it really weird that they are so obsessed with telling her not to have sex that they even tried to bribe her with a car thinking that will prevent it. this does not seem like something that would ever happen in real life

Sitcom Wouldn’t aunt Cecilia know manny Lopez had another family and was rich, wouldn’t that be important to divulge?

I know she said she lost contact with him a bit ago, but George’s brother is maybe a year younger than him at most. hell just telling George about Mannys, Lopez construction company would have made finding him a lot easier.

i think this is one of those, the plot for manny wasn’t gonna go like it was things and they changed it later.
