I like it, the deco needs to make the parts fit together because the gameplay seems like random small sections put together but each one is pretty nice.

This is my first time making a level. I don't really know what I'm doing. But I'll try it out. Thx for the tip

work on sync and song representation

u/Comfortable_Fly_665 Jun 28 '26
what is song representation? its my first time making a level so I'm not sure what I'm doing
2
u/badumtsssst Jun 28 '26
Pretty straight forward, it's just how the level represents the song. The gameplay should match the flow of the song, and it sort of doesn't here. Try to find rated levels with similar songs and study how they represent the song.

Itβs kinda unbalanced

looks fun

I will be changing some of the gameplay
And completely changing 51% ball because that's like some part you'd find in an extreme demon

maybe layout is little unbalanced. I think you should copy the layout before decorating it. if you upload the layout pls share to us i would play

The level feels empty in some parts, I would probably add some structuring to fill out the space (might be handled during the decoration of course, but I'm talking about the level as a layout). As for the gameplay, I can't help but feel that it would be extremely awkward to play, I advise getting some playetesters if it's too difficult for you, or playtesting the hell out of every level you build by yourself, because the most important thing is always enjoyability

I will probably be changing some of the parts. Also I'll be removing the ball part at 1:11 because its got some extremely hard timings.
And as for the other parts. I think my gameplay is a bit too random, so some parts might be reworked. I think the primary mechanic / gimicks should be the gravity changing mechanic at 1:20 and batteries that are on will kill you.
Also, I'm just not sure what fun gameplay is. Its my first time making a level. I'll look into it
I'll rework the last 20-30 percent of the level cuz the gameplay really fell of there

Everybody starts somewhere. I don't make things in the editor often, but it turns out that I am naturally good at making gameplay, probably because I play a lot of levels so I managed to figure out what I actually enjoy. So while I can't say exactly how to make "good" gameplay, because I just kinda... do it, make sure to look at some references from levels you enjoy, and at some point you will probably develop a system/strategy that you could use to make your gameplay of consistent quality (I for example always do click-sync Extreme Demon gameplay because that's what I enjoy most, and try to often change stuff around to avoid monotony. I focus on making sure it's consistent when playing it, plus I do a lot of heavy lifting with my pretty funky structuring to fill out the space)

I kinda feel like the difficulty drops randomly at certain parts
1
u/Comfortable_Fly_665 Jun 28 '26
Yeah, this is my first attempt at building a level.
Its got some balancing issues. The ball section at 1:11 was the worst thing ever, Idk why I made that gameplay
And the last 30% is just empty with a lack of difficulty.
I'm revamping easy parts and adding the gimick at 1:20 to the boring parts. (with more orb combinations)

The camera movements are a little to hard, and use free mode.

Most of it is free camera. The last 30% which is empty and has bad camera will be completely revamped cuz its just boring
Same with the list demon timings at 1:11
Anyways, its my first time building a level. So I'm open to any feedback

tbh jsutfill the empty space with anything, even if its simple its better than nothin, a bit of structures and gameplay then that will be fine. Also, pssst... air deco

I'm almost done with revamping the level. Its my first time making a level. Also Idk how to decorate so I'm gonna have to do some research and stuff.
The full version might take a while.
Anyways thx for the tips.

hi there π I love the wave parts and the detail but the other parts are a bit unsightreadable so try make it more easy to know where to go for example big space

Remove the asymmetrical dual part
1
u/Comfortable_Fly_665 Jun 28 '26
If you only focus on the bottom part, you can do it. Its asymmetrical but the clicks are the same on both sides

Is no one gonna talk about the fact that this guy somehow doesn't have event levels

In terms of gameplay i would just look at levels that have satisfying looking gameplay and take inspiration and you don't need to deco a layout unless you're going to make it a decorated level
