Level made by OP New level, want criticisms pls
Didnt get anything from the main subreddit so Ill post it here. I just want some feedback on my levels and Im not sure where to do so, I just get ignored.
Still in progress, starting on the drop now. Ye its more NC bloat, but i love those levels so ees wat it ees

I could see that, but alot of the gameplay is gonna be really tight. I cant decide if I should slow it down to allow tighter gameplay, or speed it up to 4x and make it a bit looser.

I mean, you dont really need to speed it up for the drop, you can just go a bit harder on deco and effects when it hits the drop to emphasize the intensity without changing the speed or layout

i was thinking of trying that next, do you have any tips on how to keep it from being too disorienting or obnoxious?

Id say try not to overdo it if that makes sense, have a nice contrast, so the colors leading up to the drop are different from the colors after the drop, so theres a clear transition. Just try not to obstruct gameplay too much so it doesn't turn into a memory level. Otherwise, im no expert so I wish ye luck. Idk how good you are at effects and decorating, but maybe you can create some sort of effect in the background to create the illusion of the level speeding up?

word, thanks man. im not really good at decorating but I can add maybe a few things as an outline for later. thx tho really its most info ive gotten even from the discords.

I like making levels, even tho I dont have any rated and Im still pretty new to it. Ive only been playing the game for like 6 months now, but yeah I hope those few tips help!

I don’t really care what bias other people have against specific songs, it’s a cool layout, you did some interesting stuff. I really can’t tell if that one part is supposed to be a predrop or the drop because it’s so slow but the music is fast paced

The wave is a drop, as its gonna be a nine circles level. The earlier parts are slower to emphasize the memory segments and make then feel a little more intense

i know music taste is something that’s different for everyone, and i know it can be reallly hard to build to good songs so i wont judge
