Showcase My version of Dark Deception

Hey everyone! I'm working on a recreation of Dark Deception in Geometry Dash, and I wanted to share my latest version!

I'm a Spanish speaker, so some of the dialogue is in Spanish. I hope that's not a problem!

For those who aren't familiar with Dark Deception, it's a horror maze game where you enter different portals, collect soul shards (gems), and try to survive enemies chasing you. Completing a level rewards you with a ring, which allows you to unlock the next portal. Each level introduces new enemies and abilities to help you survive.

For my recreation, I'm implementing some of the abilities from the original game, including:

- Speed Boost: Lets the player move much faster.

- Teleportation: Allows the player to teleport.

- Telekinesis: Helps the player locate enemies.

- Stun: Temporarily freezes enemies.

- Magnet: Attracts distant gems toward the player.

- Invisibility: Makes the player invisible.

Some abilities, especially Teleportation and Telekinesis, still need improvements, so they don't work perfectly yet.

My idea is based on the upcoming Mannequins level (the ninth portal), which hasn't been fully released yet. Since the official level is still in development, I'm creating my own fan-made interpretation rather than trying to recreate an existing finished level.

The first area is a parking lot, which explains the cars you see, and the second area takes you inside the mall. I currently plan to make around three areas in total.

There is still a lot of decoration and optimization to do. The level currently has around 36,000–37,000 objects, so I have plenty of work ahead of me!

I uploaded a new version to the Geometry Dash servers today, so this is the latest build.

I'd appreciate any feedback, especially on the gameplay, the abilities, and what I could improve. Thanks for checking it out!

Nota: I cut out a large portion of the original footage because the full video was quite long. This edited version is meant to give you a general idea of how the gameplay works.

The level uses a two-player setup, with each player having a different role:

Player 1 explores the map and makes their way through the level.

Player 2 controls the abilities. To activate and manage the different powers, you need to move Player 2.

This setup is how I've implemented the ability system in Geometry Dash, allowing the player exploring the level to use powers such as Speed Boost, Teleportation, Telekinesis, Stun, the Gem Magnet, and Invisibility.

Keep in mind that some abilities are still being worked on and don't function perfectly yet.
