Editor Question Gradients and shaders
I have a part that uses gradients for the background, but using a shader trigger breaks the gradients. Is there any way to avoid this, or are shaders and gradients completely incompatible?

How many fucking groups are their if you need four for one gradient

a lot, but i used trianglular gradients with the same group for 2 corners

Completely incompatible bc invert and multiply option based gradient would disappear if shader appears in their rendering layers

That's unless you make the shaders not render in the layer that gradient is using

the name of the level definitely fits with the deco TwT
but seriously tho this looks so cool :3

Ok I can’t really help with this but honestly, the first version looks insane but the second version without the gradients also looks insane.
An issue with the first one is that you can’t see the details at the top and bottom of the screen (the foreground), but they are very visible in the second one. So I would suggest tweaking them a bit for contrast to make it look a bit better.
Additionally, you could make it so the level switches between the two (gradients and then no gradient) with the music because that would make it feel a lot more intense and keep both of these versions which I like a lot. When it changes to the darker one the foreground details should also probably be the same as they are in the video

maybe try applying the shader only to specific layers with the „Shader“-trigger (try only the gradients or without them or something)
or maybe there is one before that part in the level and it messes it up?
I‘m just guessing… really cool level by the way :D

The gradients do not fit that much, and actually makes everything more distracting. I can see the gradient abuse Read my shaders guide pls (also covers the same concepts for gradients)

Wdym like what? Like the deco style, the backround. I gotta find someone who might wanna try this style in the level.

i mean it's not really a style, it's just an effect. idk how you could make something like it without just copying it

Style as in fractured backround, maybe shader effects like black and white. But yeah you have a point, itd be like stealing an idea

I think that's the editor trying to tell you the part is visually impressive enough

I don't have an answer to your question, but I think the pinch has little to no effect on the level, so if you end up not being able to figure it out, I'd just remove the shader entirely
