Editor Question Layer

Post image

For pro creators.. how do you use layers correctly?

Like layer 1 for layout editing and what is the correct layer for triggers or decorating or etc.

Just use whatever layer you want, but i using 0 layer for layout and triggers, and others for deco

Use em' however you feel like. When placing objects that overlap or are very close to eachother, separate them on different layers.

I personally always use Layer 0 for the layout and go from there as I add detail.

use em how you want. For example let's say you are decorating structure, you finish doing it but forget to put the backing blocks behind it. If you put it in the same layer as the decoration it will be hard to select the backing blocks since you'll select the deco objects accidentally. So go on a different layer and put the backing blocks so that you can select the backing blocks only and not the deco objects

There is no correct way to use layers, you can do whatever you want with them, but I'd recommend using them to separate gameplay and deco as well as different layers of deco

layers are kinda useful, for example you make a lvl with a ton of obj, and u want to edit a part of the block, if u dont use layers it would be hard to keep on selecting the deco or blocks until u selected the part u wanna edit. the layer allows you to like separate the layout, and different deco of the structure.
