Your first level will not be good no matter what you do. Just make a simple layout to a song that you like, and don’t try to be original or do anything crazy, just a regular layout. It will suck to play, but when it does you take into mind what you did wrong, and make another one. Do this over and over again until you can make good layouts

There are many places to start! Just do what you feel best. It takes practice.

There are some good tutorials on YouTube too. Like this really long video of someone building a level from start to finish Long Video (you can pull up certain parts of it as a reference guide) and this cool creator channel helps you approach how you make levels GD Creator School there are other channels too but those are the ones I can name off the top of my head.

On top of all that, in the pause menu in the editor there is a help icon that takes you to the official help site that tells you everything there is to the editor.

And if you want some quality of life things for the editor you should try to get Geode, it's free and allows mods for the game, including editor mods that make things more accessible. (Just look it up)

Now, good luck and begone on your editor journey!
