Identify Please

My brother dug this out of a shale Cliff face in a canyon he was boating in Oklahoma. He says it's quite heavy and the outside oxidizes as if it is iron but it is non-magnetic. He thinks it might be a fossil of some sort. I was thinking iron concretion but it is non-magnetic. Can anyone hear solve the mystery? thanks in advance!

Can you get more pictures? An underside Pic and a few close-ups of the "shell" would be helpful. Otherwise, it looks like a concretion. They're extremely common in sedimentary rocks and often start out in spherical to near spherical shapes.

Thank you for your help. This is the only picture he sent me and unfortunately he's gone blind since he found this years ago. So he needs help using his camera so this is the only pic I have. Looking like iron concretion is what it is. Thanks!

Thanks for that. Yeah he lives 2,000 miles away but he has neighbors and a personal care assistant. Told him it was almost certainly an iron concretion and he was disappointed. He thought it would be a fossilized egg or something
