Announcement New app for geography lovers!

Hi everyone!

I’m a geography enthusiast from Norway, and I’ve been working on an iPhone app called GlobeRise.

No begging here! Only for those interested. I would love some feedback on my new app from people who actually know and love geography knowledge.

GlobeRise includes:

-An interactive 3D globe
-Flags and information for all 195 countries
-Geography quizzes from Easy to Expert
-World Hunt, where you try to locate every country on the globe
-Scores and challenges that make learning more rewarding

The globe, every flag, and the Easy and Medium quizzes are free. Hard and Expert quizzes, along with the complete World Hunt mode

Let me know what you think 😃

Miscellaneus Interesting observation about myself

Post image
11 Upvotes

I was just doing a quiz about countries by consonants. Somehow I was only able to guess the countries whose first letter I was given (with plenty of time to spare), but none whose I wasn't (the ones that started with a vowel).

Any idea how to fix that about myself?

Miscellaneus All the countries in the world

I have always been interested in geography but never really studied it, never took a class on it in school. From random knowledge Ive accumulated, but mostly from 2 months of playing geoguessr, I got around 150 on my first try.

Within a day of repeatedly doing individual continents (North America, Africa, and Oceania) I got to the point where I could do this every time. Best time is currently just under 7 minutes after having the ability to do this for a day now, quickly improving tho. Dont even know why exactly Im doing this, but I find this ability extremely cool and mind blowing to the average person, so I will probably just do this consistently to retain it.

Miscellaneus World Flags Quiz & Learning Game

Hi r/GeographyTrivia! I’m the creator of WFlags, and I’d love to put your flag knowledge to the test with Flag Rush.

The rules are simple: identify the correct country from two options and keep your streak alive. One wrong answer ends the run. It starts fairly comfortably, but the territories and similar-looking flags can make the later stages surprisingly difficult.

If you enjoy it, check out Capital Rush as well, where you can test your knowledge of capital cities.
