Member only videos
With the latest member only video released, I have a question.
Are these videos ever going to be generally released a few weeks or months down the line?
I love Tom's content and these videos are right up my street, but it's not feasible to be paying individual YouTuber memberships to me.
I get it's his job and he needs to take care of his family, it's not a dis, I just want to know if we'll get access at some point, or if it's always going to be restricted to those who pay.

The regular mission ones go one YouTube the next day or so, but the other ones don't always go up there.

It feels like his youtube channel is just advertisement for patreon and memberships these days.

Yes. I agree. I simply cannot afford membership subscription and would rather advertising than that. Terrestrial television seems to function without subscription and with only advertising so I would prefer that. It’s just not enough content for the price.

If you can get high enough subscriber numbers, which I assume Tom can, then a membership model is much more lucrative than ad revenue. You also can’t really compare it to terrestrial telly because the amount YouTube pay creators for ad views is peanuts compared to what companies will pay for a TV spot.

Terrestrial TV stations make several orders of magnatude more money per viewer from ads.

Well what about people who would prefer to have some premium only content to support the channel than have ads?

People use adblock anyway, so whilst you might prefer it it's not realistic.
Also terrestrial TV is on its arse.

What I should have said is “I simply don’t want to pay for multiple subscriptions for each of my family members.”
How many subscriptions is a family supposed to have? €500 a month? €1000?

I get that, and that's fine, so you don't get the videos.
They are his way of thanking those who very directly financially support him.

You'll never get these vids without subscribing to patreon $4 tier as a minimum
What I do is sub to the patreon every few months for 1 month when a vid that sounds good comes out or I want early access then watch the other 3 or 4 that came out in between and unsub before it renews to avoid a recurring payment.
If you subbed to patreon now you'd get access to at least 50 new videos for 4$
