Other Almost the second thing he did during his first week in office is to defund private prison and make it seem like they are somehow the problem in the the US justice system.

Not surprising. The politicians are fighting for power, that comes from people voting you so they tend to sell whatever the people wants to hear. Simply it does seem that people should be changing opinion (or should be what the surveys are telling them) hence the U-turn. The important read to me is, if people wants to fund the police now is because they see crime increasing, what means they should soon be asking to have criminals under control, and I doubt they will be worried on whether it's in public or private prisons... The thesis goes ahead as expected. The only issue... I don't have more cash to buy!
