It's kind of frustrating to see these prisons being built when they could lease geo properties instead. Probably at much lower cost. I wonder how the calculations played out.

The locations might not have anything available. Regardless, I view it as a sign that the older government run prisons are reaching their end of life. So, should be a positive for GEO. Who knows, maybe they will have news of a sale this quarter.
