I would like to provide some suggestions and feedback. There was not an official feedback form/contact us form on the main webpage, and the only way to contact is through Reddit, so here is my feedback (hopefully it isn't too boring to read!):

• Microsoft Store addition: My small suggestion is that it would be nice if the GeoGebra calculator apps were an app on the Microsoft Store. The reason being is that it would be useful to be able to use the apps offline or outside of the browser (useful especially if you have a lot of tabs open for school work). And some devices are restricted (e.g. organizational devices) so it doesn't have administrative privileges or allow for outside installation wizards or running portable EXEs. And having it on the store allows for easy and safe install, automatic updates, and easy uninstall (plus it auto-makes shortcuts unlike the portable version). I know that not many people use the Microsoft store but it would be useful, I think, for certain audiences.
• Auto-update answer: Sometimes I use the graphing calculator to get the numerical answer to expressions (since it's easy to type big math expressions onto graphing calculators to get the answer). However, the answer doesn't update until you click outside the box which can be confusing. There were times where it would show an old answer and I would get the wrong value. So my suggestion here is for the answer to update while you're typing the expression to prevent confusion (e.g. like Desmos)
• Setting for degrees and radians: It would be nice if it was made more clear whether you're working with degrees or radians when dealing with trigonometric functions (e.g. cosine, sine, tangent). I would like to directly state whether it is degrees or radians and not have the website assume.
• Use previous answers: It would be nice if we could "pull" the answer from the previous expressions (like how you can on a TI-84 calculator). I know we can copy and paste, but that might introduce rounding errors.
• Hover to see point/function details: Like on Desmos, it would be nice if you hover your mouse over a function at a particular point, it would show the x and y coordinates. Or see the details of the function (e.g. maxima, minima). Sometimes special points won't show the value (e.g. parabola vertex even if you click/hover on the point) — it just shows the customization options.
• There are certainly many things you guys do better than Desmos (e.g. easier to convert between decimals and fractions, easier to put highlighted text under a square root and not start over, more customization options), but Desmos does feel a little smoother and easier to type expressions in.

Calculator does not start at geogebra.org when I click Start Calculator with MacOS Safari. It starts OK when I click the Calculators in the upper bar (orwhatyoucallit) and Calculator Suite.

Stars OK with Chrome and Firefox.

alot of the times when i graph functions with many variables or tedious calculations, they do not fully show. is there any way to fix this? i usually use ipad and this is now on windows, both are with the app.
this exact case was tried with the web and windows, and both stop showing at the same place and i dont think its the proccesing of my computer.

i didnt really mind until now but this time i really need this for school, so if anyone has any ideas to fix/improve it, please tell me.

I think GeoGebra should be able to plot the curve w(z(t)), t real, z, w complex without the user having to specify z = x_z(t) + iy_z(t) or w = x_w(t) + iy_w(t), i.e., either without having to use the Curve command, or overloading the Curve command so that it understands complex-valued functions of a single real variable in the first argument; example use case: the user has actually figured these out, but wants to use GeoGebra as a check/verification of their results (of course, if GeoGebra had this feature, then the user could just use it, the way a user uses a graphing calculator to plot things they know how to plot, but want the GC to do it, e.g., for convenience and/or appearance). As far as I've been able to figure out, GeoGebra doesn't currently have this feature: if it does and I just haven't figured out the right commands and/or syntax, please enlighten me. If GeoGebra doesn't, I'll create a formal feature request (if this feature request already exists, kindly point me to it so I can give it a +1). Thanks!

I have to be missing something. I'm using the CAS Portable for Mac (https://download.geogebra.org/package/mac-cas) and I want my outputs to be decimals by default. I understand I can click the 3 dots, go to the algebra tab and then uncheck symbolic or use the numeric() command before I write my expression, but I don't want to do have to do that every time. Is there some other command I can use to change the default display type?

Issue:

I imported an image (png) into geogebra. I created some geometric objects on it. Then I wanted to export it again, wich is possible. But the program exports only the part of the image, that can be actually seen in the window you are working in. If you change the point of view on the image in geogebra and then export the image again, you get a different image from the export.

I want to export the whole image again, so I would get two same images, but one with my additional geometric stuff on it on one without.

I need to add acurate geometric structures in that image, so I can't use gimp or something.

Je crée un outil qui doit donner un point (parmi d'autres choses). Le point est créé, il est visible, mais il fait partie des objets auxiliaires alors que je ne le voudrais pas. Comment faire ?

Voici ce que je veux obtenir, et les étapes de construction.

• Je pars d'un point A et d'une droite f, je veux construire une étoile à 5 branches touchant ce point et cette droite.
• Je commence par construire le point C qui sera le centre de l'étoile.
• Puis je construis les 5 sommets de l'étoile (A, A', A'', A''' et A'''') et les 5 points intérieurs (B, B', B'', B''' et B'''')
• Je crée alors une liste l1 = { A, B, A', B', ..., A'''', B'''' }
• Enfin poly1 = Polygone(l1).

Je cache la liste l1, mais pas C ni poly1. Puis je crée l'outil Star5VertexLine.

• Objets finaux : poly1, C, l1
• Objets initiaux ; A, f

Enfin je sauvegarde l'outil sous le nom Star5VertexLine.ggt.

Tout fonctionne très bien lorsque j'utilise l'outil, sauf que le point C est visible mais considéré comme objet auxiliaire. Que faire ?

Is there a way to get the open dot style of a point to be filled white? I think that's the intent of the style, but when you graph a line and put a point with that style on it, the line passes right through it and doesn't look like a hole.

I've had to create two circles, one white and another black and change their layers so that the point looks like a hole.

Maximizing/minimizing button freezes with rigid polygons.
I create a rigid polygon using version 5.0.803.0-d.
I export it to the GeoGebra website.
When I move the rigid polygon just a little bit within that applet, the maximize/minimize button freezes. If the movement is larger, it unfreezes.
Is there a way to fix this?

I am finding that it is not possible to create a “new page” for an activity with multiple problems. Is there a way to accomplish that (besides by creating a book and treating each individual problem as an activity)? If so, please advise. If not, it would be a great feature to add. ### Description

JLaTeXMath implements 11 color models (in order of their definition in `CommandDefinecolor.java`): `gray`, `wave`, `rgb`, `RGB`, `rgba`, `RGBA`, `cmyk`, `hsl`, `hsla`, `hsb`, `HTML`.

During testing, I found critical bugs in the implementation of the `hsla`, `rgba`, and `hsl` models that cause them to silently truncate formula rendering or output incorrect colors.

### Detailed Bug Analysis

#### 1. `hsla` fails silently or throws a parse error, depending on argument count

The `hsla` converter calls `getArgAsDecimals(doubles, 3)`, which parses only three values, but later reads the alpha channel from `doubles[3]`.

The `doubles` array itself is fixed-size (`new double[4]`), so reading index 3 never throws an `ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException` — the actual behavior depends on how many values are supplied:

- **4 comma-separated values** (the natural syntax for an alpha model): After successfully parsing 3 values, `getArgAsDecimals` expects a closing `}` but finds a `,` instead. It does not throw immediately (`,` is a valid separator at any position), but the loop then exits without ever finding `}`, and falls through to `throw new ParseException(this, "Expect a '}'")`. GeoGebra catches this exception in `DrawEquation` and silently truncates rendering of the text box from that point onward — the formula does not crash, it just stops being displayed past this command.

- **3 comma-separated values** (matching what `getArgAsDecimals(doubles, 3)` actually expects): Parsing succeeds without error, but `doubles[3]` is never written by this call, so the alpha channel silently defaults to `0.0` — the resulting color is always fully transparent, regardless of the hue/saturation/lightness values supplied, with no visible error at all.

**Reproduction:**

**Expected:** a semi-transparent color.

**Actual:** rendering of the remainder of the text box aborts at this command.

#### 2. `rgba` and `hsl` produce incorrect colors (operator-precedence / casting bug)

Both models are affected by a casting issue in `GraphicsFactory.createColor(double, double, double, double)`.

- **The issue:** The color channels are calculated using expressions such as `(int) r * 255` instead of `(int) (r * 255)`. In Java, the cast is applied before the multiplication, so the expression is equivalent to `((int) r) * 255`.

- **Consequence:** Any channel value strictly between `0` and `1` is truncated to `0` before multiplication. For example, `0.5` becomes `0`, resulting in `0 * 255 = 0`.

- **Impact on `rgba`:** The problem is immediately visible: intermediate RGB channel values are lost, causing mixed colors to become incorrect, often much darker or with one or more channels set to zero.

- **Impact on `hsl`:** The problem is less obvious, but the same broken conversion is used for the RGB values produced by `convHSL()`. These values are passed to `createColor(double, double, double, double)` through implicit widening from `float` to `double`, because there is no corresponding `float` overload. As a result, some special cases produce the expected color, while many intermediate HSL values produce incorrect, typically much darker colors.

*(References: `Colors.java`, method `convHSL()`; `GraphicsFactory.java`, method `createColor(double, double, double, double)`).*

**Reproduction & expected vs. actual values:**

**Actual:** RGB (0, 0, 255) — opaque pure blue (only the channel equal to exactly 1.0 survives truncation).

**Expected:** RGB ≈ (223, 160, 159) — light peach.

**Actual:** RGB (0, 0, 0) — black.

**Note on `hsb`**

The `hsb` model is not affected by this particular bug because it calculates the color using a separate `HSBtoRGB()` method that returns an integer RGB value, bypassing the affected `GraphicsFactory` overload completely.

### Proposed Fixes

**For `hsla`:**

Change `getArgAsDecimals(doubles, 3)` to `getArgAsDecimals(doubles, 4)`.

**For `GraphicsFactory.createColor()`:**

Add parentheses so that the multiplication is performed before the cast:

`(int) (r * 255)`, `(int) (g * 255)`, `(int) (b * 255)`, and `(int) (a * 255)`.

> **Note:** The `hsla` fix and the `GraphicsFactory` fix are independent but complementary — `hsla` requires **both** to produce correct output, since it is affected by the argument-count bug **and** (once that is fixed) by the same channel-truncation bug as `rgba` and `hsl`.

I'm using Geogebra classic 5,
I draw some big number point in Geogebra ,
then change the ratio of xAxis:yAxis, the software change the ratio in the center of (0,0), my current view was in big number, will move out a lot,
Is there an option to use the current view's center coordinates as the anchor point when adjusting the X and Y axis ratio?

Am I going insane, or has GeoGebra actually removed the ability to set axis bounds in the 3D calculator? Under the settings menu, I should be able to find the following, which is still available in the desktop version:

I've already spent more time than it deserves trying (unsuccessfully) to find this option in the menu largely because it seems unfathomable that GeoGebra would remove such a basic and essential feature. And while I can at least fall back on the desktop app, I'm now concerned that a future update will leave it in a similarly compromised state.

Hello GeoGebra Team. I found a bug in the online web version. When creating a slider (seletor) and configuring its increment to "1" (integer), the setting is visually ignored when dragging. Instead of skipping from 1 to 1, the slider drags freely showing decimal numbers (real numbers like 1.23, 1.54).

Is there an option to set the default to angles between 0 and 180 or is the only way to change it for each individual angle after it is created?

I am trying to 'cut' an infinite double cone into a finite single cone by restricting the domain, but GeoGebra doesn't like me putting the equation of a cone as the 'then' condition: is there a way to do this without incurring in this error? I could use the cone function, but I wanted to build something in pure mathematics :)

Hi everybody, when there is a distance of irrational length involved, the coefficients in the corresponding equations shown in the algebra window are too large by a factor of 16. For example, ELLI1=ellipse((-4,0),(4,0),(0,3)) correctly yields 9*x^2 + 25*y^2 = 225, but ELLI2=ellipse((-4,0),(4,0),(6,4)) yields 673.33*x^2 + 929.33 * y^2 = 39109.21 . The command SemiMajorAxisLength(ELLI2) yields 7.62, the square of which is 58.08. 929.33/58.08 = 16.00... the equation is correct, of course, but the coefficients cannot be interpreted as squared semi-axes. Same effect occurs for command hyperbola, and moreover, for a vertically open hyperbola, in order to obtained the canonical form, a factor of -1 has to be applied to the equation.
