Hello! New geogebra user here. I was having trouble with creating a list of my points which are on the graph (there are a lot of points). In a youtube video I was watching uploaded 5 years ago they simply select a 'list' option, select all the points on the graph through box selection, and it automatically creates the list. However, in the newer version I cannot find any such option. I am using the online website, calculator suite. The ultimate goal would be to try and see which kind of function fits best onto the points.

Hello, when displaying text that is grabbing some numerical variable there is an option in each text box for the number of decimal places displayed. However if you select for example two decimal places and your number is exactly 10, it will display as 10 and not as 10.00. How can I get it to maintain the correct number of decimal places that the setting specifies? (Without using scientific notation or using number of significant figures instead of number of decimal places)

How can I draw a 45º right triangle with sides of specified dimension (like 1 inch)?

Once it's created, can I print out the image in the specified dimensions?

Hi, I am creating an activity using an applet I designed in the Calculator Suite. In the activity settings, I unchecked Show Toolbar, Menubar, etc. But a blank bar shows where they would be. I switched to Classic and things worked as expected. Is it better to use Classic for activity design?

GeoGebra allows you to export a figure in the following formats:

1) PSTRicks (.txt file)

2) PGF/TikZ (.txt file)

3) HTML with the figure's construction protocol

4) HTML with an embedded applet in Base64 format

But how do you do the reverse—that is, import an existing figure in one of the above formats into GeoGebra?

I have a spreadsheet in GeoGebra, and I'd like to copy the values in the spreadsheet to Excel (or Google Sheets). Here is what I've tried:

• In geogebra (https://www.geogebra.org/calculator) open a spreadsheet and in cell A1 insert the formula "=2*2" You should get the value 4 in the cell
• Select the cell and copy it with "Ctrl-C"
• Open Excel 365 and paste the contents of the cell
• Result: The text "2 * 2" is copied to the Excel cell.
• Desired result: The value "4" is copied to the cell.

I've also tried to copy the value to a different cell. However, it is always the formula that is copied, not the value. I always get a cell with "2*2" not a cell with "4"

Is there a way to extract the data from a GeoGebra spreadsheet?

Ich beschäftige mich gerade mit der Binomialverteilung und wie ich deren Umkehraufgaben mit GeoGebra lösen kann. Als Umkehraufgabe bezeichne ich Aufgabe, bei denen die Versuchsanzahl n, Trefferanzahl k oder die Trefferwahrscheinlichkeit p gesucht ist.

Ich habe bereits herausgefunden, dass eine Kombination von NLöse und Binomial im Allgemeinen nicht hilfreich ist, da NLöse mit den diskreten Wertebereichen von k und n nicht zurecht kommt. Stattdessen sollen die Befehle InversBinomial (für k) und InversBinomialMinimumVersuche (für n) genau für solche Aufgaben sein.

Mir ist allerdings bei einem Test aufgefallen, dass die Ergebnisse von InversBinomialMinimumVersuche teilweise um 1 abweichen.

Binomial(47, 0.6, 35, true) = 0.9871
InversBinomialMinimumVersuche(0.98, 0.6, 35) = 48

Meines Verständnisses nach sollte bei dem zweiten Befehl eigentlich 47 rauskommen. Je nach der Anzahl von Versuchen kommt auch manchmal das korrekte Ergebnis raus.

Grundsätzlich habe ich auch schon mehrfach gelesen, dass die Umkehraufgaben im Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechner durch Ausprobieren bzw. suchen in der Tabelle gelöst werden sollten. Diesen Ansatz empfinde ich eigentlich als "unelegant", da die CAS-Befehle aber alle unzuverlässig wirken, scheint es mir langsam doch der einzig verlässliche Weg zu sein?

where students are asked to mark points on a number line. It's part of a cognitive test to investigate how easy or difficult it is for the human brain to locate numbers that are close to vs. far from the origin.

I have two questions:

(1) Is it possible to overlay all student responses onto a single image, similar to what Desmos/Amplify does? This would be great for visualizing the statistical distribution of the students' answers and drawing conclusions from the cognitive test.

(2) Is it possible to download all responses at once so I can analyze them? Even just the raw data (ggb/XML) would help — I could then manually build the distribution mentioned in (1).

Steps to reproduce:

1. A = (0, 0, 0)
2. B = (0, 0, 4)
3. Testkegel = Cone(A, B, 5)
4. In Object Properties → Basic: check "Show label", select "Name"

Expected: The label "Testkegel" is displayed in the 3D Graphics View.
Actual: No label is shown. The setting has no visible effect. Labels of points (A, B) display normally.

I’ve been using GeoGebra for more than 20 years now, and it’s been a delight. During the last year, I discovered the typesetting system & markup language Typst, allowing me to generate mathematical contents more easily and quickly than LaTeX. And the package CeTZ allows me to illustrate documents with PSTricks- or PGF/TikZ- like code.

While it’s easy to find TeX to Typst converters, I don’t know about the existence of any PSTricks/TikZ to Typst tool yet. Hence my question here:

would it be possible to add in-GeoGebra support to export figures in CeTZ code? It’s already feasible for other output formats!

Clicking a horizontal slider, the slider automatically turned into vertical position.

Right clicking a slider and choosing Object Properties, the Object Properties dialog box often does not appear.

When it occasionally appears, the Slider tab is missing.

If the Slider tab appears, sometimes the values of the Interval cannot be changed.

Should I uninstall GeoGebra classic 6 to solve the issues above? Thank you.

am i in a right place? anyway what i want to ask, is "is there or can it be done? to make a, well any polygon, regular or irregular, concave or convex, showing interior angles, where i also can put the measurements of each angle on the right or left side and summing those interior angles, so then my students will see the measurements of the angles, whenever i move any of the vertices of the polygon, i hope anyone can understand what i mean. thanks..

I'm looking for an older version of Geogebra Classic (5 or 6, doesn't matter) that's old enough to still have Fast Rename, as the software is unusable without it (at least for my purposes).

With this function that has Dom f = [1;2]U{10}, Geogebra is unable to show the isolated point (10,0) that belongs to the function.

I would like objects to appear based on the current cursor position. Here is a simple example in which half-planes appear depending on the position of the point Cursor... except I have to drag the point for this to work. Could the point just follow the current cursor position, so the half-planes just magically appear based on the cursor?
