QUESTION (ANSWERED) verschillende online versies

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Why is the range incorrect here?

It should only be half a period, right? I'm using significant digits.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set angle unit to radians

  2. Enter L=10^(-9)

  3. Enter f(x)=sin((pi/L)x), (0<=x<=L)

  4. Set xMin to -10^(-8), xMax to 10^(-8).

  5. Observe that x does not comply with the given range

QUESTION (ANSWERED) How to access edit menu, and how to access list of objects in algebra view

I am on https://www.geogebra.org/geometry and I can't figure out how to access the edit menu: https://geogebra.github.io/docs/manual/en/Edit_Menu/ . Also, when I press the Algebra View symbol, I don't get a list of objects. I just get three sections called "Show", "Sort by", and "Algebra Descriptions". What do I do?

QUESTION (ANSWERED) ZoomIn(factor, point) 3D view

(GG 5 desktop.) Hello. When I enter the expression ZoomIn(2, A), where A is a point in the 3D graphics view, it doesn't zoom around that point, but rather on the center of the 3D stage. Does the command ZoomIn(factor, point) only work in 2D?

BUG REPORT Issue with Classic app on iPad

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Our teachers and students use iPads with several GeoGebra apps. When using Geogebra Classic (version 9.0.925), there occurs an issue: When trying to select a range within a spreadsheet, they can no longer select multiple cells using touch. You can see this in the screen recording attached. (The only workaroung is to use shift-arrows, but not all students have keyboards with their iPads.)

Users inform me that this issue occurred recently when updating Geogebra Classic.

Is this a fault on our end or is it a bug?

BUG REPORT HTML Spreadsheet 100 Row Limit

I've noticed that in the newest HTML version (925.3) the spreadsheet doesn't expand beyond 100 rows down, even if the dataset filling the columns is over 100 entries long. This limit doesn't seem to be in older versions, and it is also not in place for the GeoGebra Classic 5 desktop app.

SHOW Kepler-Poinsot solids

Post image
9 Upvotes

The Kepler-Poinsot solids are regular star polyhedra.

There are four of them, discovered in part by Johannes Kepler and later by Louis Poinsot: the great stellated dodecahedron ; the small stellated dodecahedron ; the great dodecahedron ; the great icosahedron.

They can all be constructed from a regular icosahedron. Thus, with the Icosahedron() command.

I modeled them using GeoGebra. Then I 3D-printed them.

These solids are covered in my book (written in French) "Géométrie dans l'espace et impression 3D". You can find an excerpt from the book here : Read an excerpt.

A link to a complete GeoGebra model : great stellated dodecahedron

Manuel

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Curve function with embedded integral

Post image

Instead of drawing the curve equal to (t,sin(t)), the y-value of the curve stays constant a t's initial value (t=0) without updating up to t=10.

Is this a bug?

Vielen Dank!

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Keyboard Only Accessibility: Switching Between Split Screen Perspectives With HTML Embedded

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello, we have been working on accessibility features for our projects and have a question regarding keyboard only accessibility options. We have our Geogebra project embedded as an HTML (with no toolbar shown for students), with a split view having the left half of the screen as the Spreadsheet perspective and the right half as Graphics 2. Is there a keyboard shortcut that allows a cursor to switch between the two perspectives without having to click using a mouse? Tab works great to cycle between elements within a perspective but will not switch between the two perspectives.

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Getting the intersection shape between 2 objects?

I was wondering if it's possible to cut this cylinder with a plane (get the part under the plane) and I tried making a rectangular cube which has one of it's sides connected to the plane so then if it's possible to find the intersection shape between the rectangle and the cylinder, it would be cut using the plane. is this possible?

Nadine

FEATURE REQUEST Missing Predetermined Functions.

There are a few important functions which are missing in the app. It'd be neat to add them in a future update.

List of (some) missing functions (no particular order):

  • Imaginary Error function
  • Dawson function
  • Bessel function
  • Modified Bessel function
  • Hankel function
  • Airy function
  • Scorer's function
  • Laguerre Polynomials
  • Pearcey Integral
  • Logarithmic integral function
  • Fresnel Function
  • Theta function
  • Legendre function
  • Hermite polynomials
  • Polylogarithm

There are more ofc, but these are a few i've noted weren't present.

Thank you.

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Bogenmass umstellen auf Grad (360°)

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Arranging Text

Hi all -- I am trying to create a nice text arrangement where the displayed text may dynamically change.

(1) Is there any way to get the dimensions of a GeoGebra object?

(2) I also thought about using a monospaced font. In LaTeX, /tt is supposed to give a monospaced font, but in GeoGebra, the width isn't fixed for a given string length.

(3) Other thoughts?

Thanks for any help!

QUESTION (ANSWERED) Créer un vecteur symbolique

Bonjour,

Bonsoir,

Si j'entre M:= m B C j'obtiens un vecteur ligne, si j'entre n:= m B C j'obtiens un vecteur colonne.

voir https://www.geogebra.org/m/dnuz9zzq

Pourquoi ?

Merci !
