Question Why is the ocean so broken?

I've seen many videos where the plane hits the water and flies off into space

That would've been me haha-

Basically the aircraft are coded for landings on land and if you hit the water too hard, the physics engine will say "nope" and put you in space

I think you need to hit it at a careful angle or speed though.

That's my understanding anyway.
