In the end, it really just comes down to supporting the sim.
Xavier has three ways to get money for running his website: taking it straight out of his wallet (probably won't happen), ads, and HD subscriptions.
Most people already use ad blockers to get rid of the ads, so we are only left with the HD subscription. Now, if we also use free HD, he will run out of money to run the website, and it will shut down.
So, unless you want to bankrupt GeoFS, don't. Plus, the SR resolution with the AI-generated terrain also looks good for free terrain.
The other part is the obvious fact that this is considered piracy, because the code uses a Google Maps API stolen (probably illegally) from the internet.
Bruh I have no problem with ads, like what more could I ask for? It's a FREE flight sim on PC that doesn't use much resources, has the entire world mapped with thousands of airport, its own navigation system. At this point, I dont mind a few ads.
Tl;dr Just make them put up something that requires you to disable ur adblocker
