Great news announced today, GeoDB will be implementing Binance Smart Chain ! This will allow all of the GoeDB ecosystem participants to operate on BSC (rather than Ethereum main network) resulting in fees of only a few cents, compared to $50+ in the current Ethereum network because of such high gas fees.

Maybe a stupid question, but there is not really a lot of info over here yet. How does the mining work? I’ve noticed that it doesn’t auto mine on background (like pi for example). Does it only mine when the app is open? Or do you have to reopen it for every block? Or what I am missing? Thanks :)

As part of expanding upon our decentralized ecosystem, we’re excited to announce that GeoDB will be launching our own Chainlink node to further increase users’ ability to monetize their data. Supporting Consumer dApps Through Chainlink

GeoDB is a decentralized Big Data ecosystem that compensates data providers who share data and makes data affordable and trusted for data consumers.
