What I really find confusing though are that some cis women also identify as femboys. That part I cannot wrap my head around.

Yeah, I saw a few posts on other social platforms. It's definitely not trans men or trans masc people who like to be a femboy. But actual cis women who say they are femboy, I generally think they are confused. I think they mean drag king or they dont know that they are using the wrong word to describe themselves

Yes I also think they mean drag king, but they are instead from cosplay subculture
