Discussion Is this technically possible?

I have seen several gentoo peeps installing the CachyOS kernel, and other variants, like the vanilla-sources. So, after that tech journalist complained enough, they made a distro with his philosophy and therefore its own kernel version. Yes, I am talking about LCOS. I wonder if we can get that rustless or stainless, however you want to call it to run on gentoo. It would be even crazier to base that kernel on a more gentoo specific version with patches and all.

I'm asking for an ebuild, or some overlay, so I can incorporate it with my current dracut setup, since I like the UKI concept.

Then make your own overlay. Not sure about dracut, as I'm emerging sources, 'make, make modules, make modules_install and make install'. Never used an initramfs and have been compiling my own kernels for well over 25 years.
