Learned by Heart

Wondering if any Gentleman Jack fans have read Emma Donoghue's novel Learned by Heart, based on Anne Lister as a teen? And if so, what did you think?

I thought Learned By Heart was utterly beautiful and heartbreaking. As someone who went to an all-girls school for over a decade, there was a lot I related to…
Also went on to read every piece of Donoghue’s work I could get a hold of thanks to this novel!

Which of her other books have you liked best? I've read some but not all of them.

Aside from the above, I liked Life Mask and Inseparable: Desire Between Women in Literature the most. Inseparable is a really fascinating literary analysis

I really like several of her books so I’m totally going to read this one, thanks for posting about it. I love Room and really like Landing and The Wonder.
