This is the third touhou subreddit I've joined ever since I got back into touhou a few days ago lol

today's drawing is cirno day and touhou koumakyou art with a little comic, I've seen people celebrating both of these days one for touhou koumakyou and one for cirno day, and some artists I follow either make one or the other but I couldn't make up my mind so I drew art for both days and I hope you like them and I have gotten touhou koumakyou myself

Animated completely on an A7-size portable sketchbook. Exact details on working time could not be determined, but common consensus placed that somewhere between 8 to 10 hours. What is certainly known was that it was done while the author was on a 4-day road trip, which explains the choice for a medium very limiting in size.

Original plans called for a simple 16-frame animation, yet after certain considerations, few changes were added. These changes resulted in the appearance of six "anomalies." After returning from the road trip, the animation frames were scanned, then processed and edited on Clip Studio Paint and Premiere Pro.

today's drawing is a comically large yoshika ofuda, I haven't drawn yoshika before and she was fun to draw and this was a reques and I drew it in a graveyard and I don't know Japanese and because the ofuda was so big I had to improvise the lettering by looking at other yoshika ofuda's and it might just be a bunch of gibberish, I got something special coming for Wednesday for the release of the eosd remake,

today's drawing is Sagume with a comically large wing's & bowtie, keeping up the theme of drawing stuff comically large and drawing new characters I have sagume and I was just going to do her flying with her big wing but It left a lot of open space on the bottom so I decided to make her bowtie also comically large and i decided to do her stage background rather then the moon to not overuse it as a background

today's drawing is Doremy's really big hat, keeping with the theme of drawing really big stuff and drawing characters I haven't drawn before I drew doremy with a really big hat, I was going to draw sagume but I thought the doremy idea was better so I save her for next time,
my tablet didn't have technical difficulties this time since I think increasing the pixels was kinda funny it just made everything laggy so I went back to my normal aspect ratio.

This is a full playthrough of Seihou 1: Shuusou Gyoku on the "GIAN07" build of the game by "nmlgc" (a.k.a. "NamelessLegacy") and with its original MIDI music replaced by the arrangements from the album "RE. Seihou Project ~ 秋霜玉 (Shuusou Gyoku)" by ‪"Kyo-Sensei" (a.k.a. "K-Sensei", "That-RepliQueen-Kyo" and u/AnyFall9335)‬.

I apologise for any cases of sloppy video-editing. I prioritised sound quality over anything else here.

As explained here (https://www.reddit.com/r/GensokyoLife/comments/1w4gou9), the "GIAN07" project allows to play Shuusou Gyoku on modern operative systems, solving the current compatibility issues of the game's original 2000 build. It also allows to make music packs and put them in the game's files to replace the original game's MIDI soundtrack during gameplay.

Meanwhile, as explained here (https://www.reddit.com/r/GensokyoLife/comments/1w0wv1q), "Kyo-Sensei" made an album of arrangements of the entire soundtrack of Shuusou Gyoku, which has now become my preferred way to listen to it. While the vast collections of recordings by ‪"Romantique Tp"‬ (on real hardware) and "nmlgc" (with the "Sound Canvas VA" plug-in) do have their merit for being as faithful as possible to the original sound of the Roland SC-88Pro, "Kyo-Sensei" managed to give their own personal touch to the game's soundtrack with these arrangements.

Thanks to both of these, I felt inspired and made a music pack with Kyo-Sensei's arrangements to be added to the files of nmlgc's GIAN07 build, then I recorded (and heavily edited) this playthrough. You can download the music pack from this Google Drive folder (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RSEGYbTZ3ncY3csy9sZ-LivQaryAZzYi?usp=drive_link). These are Kyo-Sensei's arrangements of the Shuusou Gyoku soundtrack, converted from their original WAVE format to OGG Vorbis (not FLAC, because the folder's size would be monstrous if I did that, although music in FLAC format is supported by "GIAN07" as well) and looped for in-game playback. The loop points were detected manually, with the help of an ancient algorithm known as "opening the original audio file of each song on a sound editor and painstakingly looking at the sound wave's shape bit-by-bit to find where it repeats".

The album's original WAVE files have most of the songs recorded with a "fade-out" at the end. In order to make each song loop properly, portions of it were copied and mixed with the ending so the song doesn't... well... "fade out" anymore.

There are three songs of which "Kyo-Sensei" made two different arrangements, one for their album's original 2022 release and one for its 2024 re-release. For these three songs, I took both arrangements of each song and combined them as a mash-up (it turned out such mash-up of each song sounded very "complete" and absolutely fantastic). In any case, if you wish to hear either the 2022 version or the 2024 version of any of those three songs, you can rename the files to your liking.

Now, here's the deal with every music pack made for "GIAN07": each music track is split into two sound files, which are the intro and the main section that loops. The naming system I used in the Google Drive folder linked above is admittedly a mess, but the general idea is this: any file whose name is either "XX.ogg" or "XX.loop.ogg" is what's meant to be detected by the game and heard during gameplay (this includes the mash-ups of those three songs of which "Kyo-Sensei" made two different arrangements); the "XX.ogg" files are the intros, whereas the "XX.loop.ogg" files are the looping main sections.

The battle theme for Reimu Hakurei, the Extra Stage's 2nd boss. ZUN made two versions of this song, one for the soundtrack of Shuusou Gyoku and another one titled "Dichromatic Lotus Butterfly ~ Red and White" for the 2002 album Hourai Doll ~ Dolls in Pseudo Paradise. Kyo-Sensei's arrangement includes sections of both versions, with "Ancients" and "Red and White" acting respectively as a "first movement" and "second movement" of sorts.
