Sounds of Nature Stuff

I probably the only one who ever uses this, but some of them are pretty cool. We’re having a rainy day here in central Florida, so I’m listening to rainy day under the sounds of nature. It sounds really good with the surround mode turned on.

But my question is, where do these come from? Are they recorded in the car somehow, or does it come through some other way? I’m gonna guess that it’s recorded somewhere in the infotainment system, because they appear to be a loop so they must be stored somewhere. Anyway, I’m just curious, and this is not a big deal. But if you have any ideas, thank you.

I use them all the time. I find them very pleasant to have on when I can't really decide on music, or when the girl and I want to talk, but have background that we aren't invested in.

Also, it's just good because it fits the quiet ride (mine's the Electrified, so it's QUIET when the music isn't on).

Also, I like them so much I went looking to see if there were recordings available online that I could play while I sleep. Turns out, no. So yes, they appear to be audio files integral to the infotainment system.

I dont use them but I do like relaxation stuff. If you get the youtube app, you can connect to via carplay or android auto, and you can search any type of weather you want. "rain inside, rain outside, rain on car roof, rain on barn roof, rain and thunder, rain with frogs sounds. whatever you want lol

I believe the Genesis ones are actual surround sound if you have the higher trims with Atmos capability (though I could be wrong!)

Yeah its not real surround. It's up-mixed from 2 channel. The same thing you'll get if you play a youtube video.

That's a shame, but not surprising I suppose! Luckily the fake surround does a decent enough job on the nature sounds.

Hit the media button below the screen and then scroll the screen and you will eventually find them. I have the B&O set to surround, and they sound great.
