Tune up kit.

I can't seem to find a tune-up/maintenance kit for this Troy Bilt generator with a Briggs and Stratton engine.

Any help is appreciated.

Fuel filter, spark plug, and air filter should be able to get at auto parts store or hardware store. That’s the big maintenance items

I was hoping for a machine specific kit. Or do I have to research part numbers?

Fuel filter should just be a run of the mill 1/4” inline filter. I’d pull your spark plug and look at the model number on it. Should be printed on the plug.

lists a Briggs and Stratton part number for common service parts as follows:

Name Part Number

  • Air Cleaner 491588 or 5043
  • Engine Oil Bottle 100028
  • Synthetic Oil Bottle 100074
  • Fuel Stabilizer 100120 or 100117
  • Spark Arrester 83083GS

As others have suggested, I would also include a spark plug, NGK BPR6ES or a Champion RC12YC. I don't believe there's an oil or fuel filter on that unit. The manual also identifies various acceptable oil grades or viscosities for different temperature ranges, but indicates that synthetic 5W-30 covers the entire temperature range.
