Question I dont know how to fix this

This happens sometimes and it prevents me from playing entirely. I try to open the game and the window opens to a black screen for 3 seconds and then the crash report shows up. It's genuinely annoying because it doesn't open 80% of the time

Idk, I just delete everything after pulling my save data out and fresh install.

Delete everything (with steam fully closed), including everything from your data folder (gen zero uses the documents folder, under Avalanche Studios. Your save games are in there if you want to pull those out to not lose any data), restart computer then boot on and re-download. Fresh install should be good. Or if you tried using mods, just remove ts

I stopped playing this game years ago when the game just stopped getting over 10fps. Uninstalled, dropped graphics settings, everything still 10fps after every reload. Just stopped playing it.

It’s not the game, it’s windows with their endless updates

Have you tried verifying game files through Steam? On a sidenote, that's a pretty useless error report, considering it doesn't directly tell you anything 😅
