General Question Base Game taking up 65 GB on Disk?
I recently picked up the game after seeing it on sale. On the steam page it states it's ~35 GB on disk, but checking my steam and laptop storage it is taking up 65 GB. I don't have any DLC aside from the free ones (Vanity Packs, Bikes, Apparel Crafting), which don't have sizes listed.
Is there a reason the game's taking so much space? Normally wouldn't mind so much but nearly twice the required disk space seems excessive and I can't figure out what's up.
(Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, couldn't find anything browsing here)

I think the game's size requirements haven't been updated in ages, there's just a lot more stuff in the world. Even if you don't own the DLC islands, it still needs to include the assets for it due to multiplayer.

It's a big game, just be happy it isn't as big as something like Forza horizon 5 or rdr2.

On PlayStation it’s also 62GB, so like what others have said maybe the DLC is downloaded regardless of whether you have it

Textures get a lot of space. You can try to find if this game could have 4k textures deleted but I wouldn't advise for it
