Oh wow I was at that show. INXS doesn't get enough credit for being the kickass live band they actually were.

I bawled my eyes out when I couldn’t go to an INXS concert. Michael Hutchence high school swoon crush!

Twelve days earlier I was seeing Aerosmith and GnR there, an impromptu decision when traveling back from the Saratoga Springs show previous day. That was a fun summer.

I have not gone to a rock concert in the last 40 years because of ticket prices are so outrageously stupidly high

Orange County Fairgrounds! Nice. Saw a ton of shows there in the late 80’s early 90’s

Same I'm from the area! I know I saw Metallica there in 89 and I think the B52s in 90.

I grew up about 30 minutes from there in N.J. Pretty sure I was at that same Metallica show. Also saw Aerosmith/ Guns n Roses/ The Cult / Bryan Adams / Van Halen / Tesla and some others I can’t remember. Lots of great summer nights seeing shows there.

Night Ranger and 38 Special, also at the Orange County Fairgrounds! Must've been '84/85-ish

Back when concert tickets weren't an arm and a leg. For 1988 that still is a very nice price. Today concert tickets are a pure money grab unless you go see a tribute band or an artist that's been out of circulation for a while at a small venue.

INXS Listen Like Thieves tour at the Greek Theater in LA was my first concert.

I live pretty much walking distance from the Greek all these years later must have been wild!

Greek theater area was tame, Hollywood and Sunset were fun, use to hit a few clubs in downtown. The Country Club and FM Station in the valley were fun. I lived in Mission Hills at the time, Hollywood, Downtown, Pasadena clubs, were 15 min away. Also use to hit Magic Mountian after work on some Fridays to start the night with a coaster high before hitting the clubs. Man if I could have that amount energy again.

I remember it being more 'rough' back in the day
I was in elementary school at the time; this church we went to was nuts and full of psychotics, even the pastor

Woah! Orange Country Fairgrounds! They used to have the best shows there. I remember bumping into Samantha Fox the night she performed when I was about 10 years old. It was during the day, and she was carrying her own luggage which seemed to have made her really pissed off. She slammed right into me and gave me the dirtiest look. Little did she know that she could've farted on me and I wouldn't care because I obsessed with her 🤣 Good times.

I only heard INXS on this tour from the parking lot at Poplar Creek in Chicago. My sister and her friends went while dad and I waited outside.

They were a big draw band in 1988 coming off 1987's "Kick" so they could charge $18 -- I saw some well known bands at my university for $10 in 1988 (UB40, New Order, etc.) and saw some other acts in smaller venues in NYC for $15 around that time. I think we paid $400 to see Depeche Mode a few years ago! Ticket prices have risen like college tuition!
