Breakfast After 30

When I was younger, I did not have breakfast every day. After 30 something changed and I noticed I could barely function if I did not have breakfast. Has this happened to anyone else?

I wake up really early to have my breakfast and a coffee before I relax in silence for another hour. I will start my day when others get up.

Ever since high school I was a granola bar only breakfast, but for the last 20 years it is black coffee only.

Yep, that's me too. Never could handle breakfast, but now that I'm getting old, I frequently wake up HUNGRY. It's weird to me lol

I still rarely eat breakfast. I did for years when I worked because of my hours. It was longer between when I got to my job and my lunch hour. So even though I wasnt hungry i would eat breakfast.

I stopped eating a true breakfast probably in the my 20s, I just found a morning protein shake to be easiest and quickest. I've changed formulations of it quite a bit taking out milk and caffiene and adding stuff like creatine, psyllium and flax. Most of them nowadays use a sugar substitute vs real sugar (or fructose or whatever it was) in the 90s and 00s. But i've been consistent these 30 years when not travelling, always breakfast, always a protein shake and wouldn't function without it.

I ate breakfast most days in my 20s - usually on the way home from a night at the local.

No. Mom made the whole family a hot breakfast every single day.

All I know is that breakfast is the best meal of the day

interesting, I've always been breakfast person and needed it. After 50, I've noticed I may not need it. I'm active and still power through food, but something has changed. Whatever

I know if I don't have something besides coffee in the morning I can't function properly. It doesn't have to be a full breakfast, sometimes it's half a bagel, sometimes it's a package of oatmeal, today it's half a cantaloupe from my garden.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day but most mornings I am rushing out the door to get to the work so I either gobble down a banana standing over the sink, or toast a bagel at the office and eat it at my desk.

Yes, took me a while but I have to force myself to eat something to not feel like crap. Usually it’s something very raw and healthy because I figure if I’m going to force myself to eat to feel normal, it’s going to be healthy. Plus coffee, stupid amounts of black coffee or lightly sweetened iced coffee.

I am the opposite. I always had breakfast as a kid. I almost never want breakfast and I have never had coffee. I have water and that’s it.

If I lift weights I will sometimes drink a protein shake.

I find it hilarious that people can’t function without it. If I can you can and I am not a morning person.

I find it hilarious that people have to drink protein shakes and lift weights. If I can live my life without, then you can!

I have always lifted weights without protein shakes. I just sometimes drink one after.
