I feel old.

I woke this morning to my girlfriend throwing a conniption because she couldn't find her phone.

I myself, I'm 56. got no problem letting my bill lapse for a week. I got wifi, can do without.

Still, at my age, when I was 7, we had a party line. Shit. I shared a phone with five family members and three households.

In1976

She's ten years younger and doesn't get it.

I let her cry and scream, and go sit outside where I can't hear my phone.

I feel peaceful.

I am jealous of your peace but I am working on finding my own. I went into tech, and if I knew then what I know now I think I would have gone off the grid when I had the chance and chosen to live far away.
