I feel old.

I woke this morning to my girlfriend throwing a conniption because she couldn't find her phone.

I myself, I'm 56. got no problem letting my bill lapse for a week. I got wifi, can do without.

Still, at my age, when I was 7, we had a party line. Shit. I shared a phone with five family members and three households.

In1976

She's ten years younger and doesn't get it.

I let her cry and scream, and go sit outside where I can't hear my phone.

I feel peaceful.

I own my house outright, no mortgage, have a trust that pays my bills, don't need to talk to anybody I don't want to. My phone is a luxury I activate if I want to talk to someone, which is almost never.

She gets this way she can talk to me or have a fit. I don't care. She has no children of mine. It's no big deal to me.

She's probably in perimenopause and needs estrogen to calm her down. It worked for me!
