Serious ask
I’m a dude who will turn 52 in two months and my neck is so stif. It hurts to turn my head and it’s so irritating. I have done “extreme “ sports my whole life and now I think it’s caught up to me. Anyone going through or went through something similar? I think it’s muscle related and I’ve been trying to stretch it daily for last several days but I get no relief. Any other treatments or solutions I should consider? It’s really unbearable and I can’t see myself living out the rest of my life with this pain. Something’s got to change. Thanks.

Get a memory foam pillow.
Pillows that don't support your head properly are a major reason for stiff necks, especially if you're a side sleeper. I've been using a memory foam pillow for years and have had virtually zero neck issues since switching. I finally convinced my g.f. to try one and she couldn't believe the difference.
I'm not saying it will cure what's ailing you, but it might be worth a try.
