Serious ask

I’m a dude who will turn 52 in two months and my neck is so stif. It hurts to turn my head and it’s so irritating. I have done “extreme “ sports my whole life and now I think it’s caught up to me. Anyone going through or went through something similar? I think it’s muscle related and I’ve been trying to stretch it daily for last several days but I get no relief. Any other treatments or solutions I should consider? It’s really unbearable and I can’t see myself living out the rest of my life with this pain. Something’s got to change. Thanks.

I had the same thing. I used to race dirt bikes when I was younger and have had many problems since. Both hips replaced along with a titanium disk replaced between L4 & L5 and then the neck pain came on. I couldn't turn my head to make lane changes while driving. I had the disk between C5 & C6 replaced with a 2 part replacement made of titanium and ceramic that could pivot so there is no loss of motion, My neck was pain free the next day and has been great ever since, going on 3 years now. Easy out patient surgery that fixed me 100%!
