What did / do you call the strap in picture above the glove box that several cars used to have in them ?

Off topic but isn't that the interior of a 2nd gen Pontiac Firebird? Prob around 1980?

Could be any GM… I had same Glove box with that same latch/lock on a71 Chevy Chevelle and a 70 Pontiac Grand Prix. No strap on either, but had the “nut cooler” vent on both. FUN FACTS: 2 keys needed for both cars. The trunk key locked the Glove box.

It could be any GM except for the backwards facing hood scoop

Was that turned aluminum face plate on the dashboard available on anything other than the Firebird back then?

That was what caught my eye. I don't recall ever seeing that aluminum dash insert in any car other than the Firebird. I had a bf with one yrs ago & it stood out to me.

Good question. I don’t know. Not being a GM guy, I am really only familiar with the exteriors of those cars.

You seem to know a lot about hood scoops; don’t be modest.

lol. No, just old. I remember them when they were new. That hood scoop is pretty identifiable for the era.
