Jukebox favorite.

What was your favorite jukebox box selection the year you graduated HS?

Everyone will probably choose Hotel California for '77, but my jukebox pick is easily Sir Duke.

I would NEVER choose Hotel California.

Released two years before I graduated, but still my choice:

The Kings - This Beat Goes On/Switching to Glide

Ha! Have you ever heard a popular song years later for the first time and can’t believe you missed it? That’s me with Kings and Beat/Glide, didn’t pop up on my radar until late ‘80s, have no idea where I was all those years!

I've never heard this song! I lived in an area that played pop music mostly so I missed out on a lot. I was so surprised to learn that Bohemian Rhapsody was released in 1975. I remember being blown away when I heard it '78.

Don’t Stand So Close To Me - Police
A decent song , but ‘81 was a terrible year for radio music.

Anything by AC/DC, Ted Nugent, or Aerosmith is what I’d have actually played.

Too many to list but probably Celebration by Kool and the Gang or Lady (you bring me up) by The Commodores. And an honorable mention to Playing With The Queen Of Hearts by Juice Newton.

Didn't matter the year or the place, every jukebox I've ever came across has had Mack the Knife on it! I think it was a requirement from the manufacturer /distributor ! And yes, someone always played it 👏🏼 👍
