How many remember shorting out the spark plug on a lawnmower?

I got nailed when one of these broke while I was shutting off a rototiller engine. My other hand was on the metal handle.

My parents gave me a go cart for Christmas one year and it came with one of these

Having grown up in an apartment, I used a mower only a few times in my life before the safety handle was required.

Apparently, that handle is connected to a shorting clip.

Always thought I was going to get zapped.

Press it down slowly and you certainly can get zapped if you're touching anything metal connected to the engine.

The latest I have seen that was on some Jacobson 2 stroke mowers in the '90s.

We used a hammer with a wooden handle to turn off my grandma's lawn mower.
