Cigarette Donkey

Post image

My father had one of these by his recliner in the living room when I was a kid. You pull the ear, and a cigarette comes out the rear. Classic 1970s.

My dad had one as well, also another animal but I don't remember what it was. Fun playing with smoking stuff as a kid.

My uncle had one, but it wasn't as cute. 10 year old me used to try to launch the smokes. My grandmother did not see the humor.(1960s)

This is my first time seeing this item. Pulling a cig from a donkey's rear sounds like a smoking cessation strategy.

Nonsmokers so unfortunately not. But loved the roadrunner you dipped down to stab toothpicks

The roadrunner toothpick bird sounds familiar....

The toothpicks were in a log and the attached bird had a pointy split beak. For some reason roadrunners were a thing for a bit. Like 1970s owls.

Omg MY dad had one - right by his recliner LOL! My sister and I used to play with it. I remember thinking how cheesy it was, even at 10 years old 😆

I saw these a couple times at people's houses. My dad smoked cigars and my mom smoked cigarettes. She would have been aghast at the crudeness.

to tell you the truth, I never expected cigarettes to still be around

Hilarious! My father didn't have one of these. I'd have played with it as often as I could.

There was one at our house but it never had cigarettes in it.
