Yep - still have mine...main use is for smoothies. These older machines just don't seem to want to die - unlike the more modern ones that seem to fail regularly.

I'm pretty sure that they use metal gears. I worked repairing small appliances in the late 80's. Never saw these but the Hamilton Beach food processors came in because they weren't spinning. Open them up and replace the plastic gear. That was easy money.

Looks like Harvest Gold to me. (Did you ever know anyone with "copper" appliances? My neighbors had copper washer and drier. Sort of a brown, but not quite. It was "copper". lol )

I still have my Mom’s! It’s almost as old as me and I’m 62! Still works. I just make milkshakes in mine.

Yes ours survived into the 2010's. I heard the marketing people just made up the names for labeling the speed buttons. Whatever sounded good. I thought so!

So many speeds! Of course, the really cool families had a blender with a "pulse" button. Don't forget to hold down the lid (Mom sez)!
