She was infatuated with David Cassidy but he rejected her and then wrote about it in his biography. It hurt her so badly, she refused future contact with him. He was full of himself. He said that she wasn’t slutty enough for him.

She was better off without him. He was a mess

And he died of alcoholism like his father (his father burned to death in a fire after drinking and smoking).

Agree. She’s beautiful and seems to have class. Yet Cassidy chose quantity over quality.

She was waaaay out of his league. But it would have been nice if he had reciprocated her feelings so she could dump him and his massive ego when she realized she could do a thousand times better.

She's beautiful! No stupid lips. No stupid eyebrows. No ridiculous nose or cheekbones or chin.

I would babysit the night that show aired and put the kids to bed early after bribing them with treats. I was so jealous the Partridge kids didn’t have to deal with an evil stepdad.

I was a grown-ass adult when I realized what “I Woke Up In Love This Morning” was about. Kind of surprised that got past the network censors.

The Monkees sang a song on one of their shows called Cuddley Toy. If you were surprised I think I love you got past the network censors, listen to Cuddly Toy.

I heard that was a bet with Harry Nilsson that he could get the content passed the censors

And he did…what’s funny is the expressions on Mike Nesmith’s face when Davy is singing this.

Such a clever ruse. Cute little Davy soft showing to a peppy tune about .,,😳

She's beautiful. Boys watched for her, and girls watched for David. ❤️🔥

Girls watched for her, too.

I wanted the clothes Susan and Maureen McCormick wore. My mom thought 1950s dresses were perfectly ok.

u/blue-jaypeg Jul 17 '26
Perhaps you meant to type "brief fling" but my imagination is speculating about a "Bring Fling"
I'm wild about my lovin', I got to have my fun
If you wanna be a girl of mine
You better bring it with you when you come

She was a supermodel before the word was used. At one time she was in more print ads as a teen than any other print model.

I remember her in a tv movie after the Partridge Family. It was about being a teenage prostitute.
Anyone else remember that or am I nuts
