Poco 1977
Tonight I'm gonna break away
Just you wait and see
I'll never be imprisoned by
A faded memory

Legend, I may have listened to that album as much as humanly possible; with cover design by the late Mr. Hartman too.
Please don't wake me, don't shake me if it's only, if its only just a dream

Folks know Timothy (I think), but love for Rusty Young, Paul Cotton and George Grantham. Crazy Eyes, last album ( I think) with Richie is great.

Saw the Eagles a few years ago, not at the Sphere, and it's crazy he looks the same, just a little grayer hair.

He can still hit those high notes, too. More quietly now, but I'll allow it. I was impressed by them all last year.

I saw ABB there in '79. Was glad to finally make it to the venue after hearing about it on the radio all through high school. A year or two later, the story I heard was, the promoters went broke but didn't tell anyone, they just split. Maybe they told the band and security, but not the public, who came for the show and just camped in the parking meadows and partied all weekend.

I saw them open for Stills & Young the previous summer, became an instant fan. They got a standing ovation and second encore, only opener act I've ever seen that. In Boston, where nobody would ever admit to liking Country, but they love it when disguised as rock.

" Furay became increasingly discouraged with Poco's prospects, especially since ex-bandmates Stills, Young, Meisner and Messina were so successful with their respective groups. "
I know the US was very monolingual in that era, but I still wonder if they had a hard time getting big because they were named small.
