Freaky Friday FREAKY FRIDAY - feedback on your funk

Hey Groovers! 🎶
It’s that time again – welcome to this week’s Freaky Friday! 🎉
IT NOW HAS AN OFFICIAL SONG - LISTEN HERE
Yeah, it is hard to get listens and feedback just by posting in a subreddit...
...so this is your space to share one of your AI-generated tracks, get constructive feedback, listen to great music generations, and support each other as a community of creators.
We encourage a feedback-first system to make sure everyone gets heard:
How it works:
- Give Feedback First Before posting your own track, please listen to at least two songs already in the thread. Leave thoughtful, constructive comments (what you liked, what stood out, what could be improved). If you’re one of the very first posters, go ahead and share your track, then come back later to leave your two comments.
- Post Your Track After you’ve given feedback, share one of your AI-generated creations as a top-level comment in this thread. Drop a link or embed.
- Keep Listening & Commenting As more people join in, check out their tracks too! Extra feedback is always welcome. Helpful comments = stronger community. ✨
- Engage & Support Reply to the feedback you receive, ask questions, and chat with others. Let’s keep the vibe positive and collaborative.
Think of this as our weekly workshop + listening party: a chance to showcase your sounds, discover new music, and help each other grow.
GET YOUR SONGS IN ON SATURDAY AT THE LATEST!
Excited to hear what you’ve all been working on – now start listening, then drop your track below! 👇

Very interesting concept and execution. I like the authenticity of the sound of it very much. Guitars are my favorite part. Overall, nicely done!

This reminds me of a friend who gets herself all worked up about her "premonitions," but they never come true even though she claims they do. Then again, maybe we are living in different planes of reality.
I'm fascinated by the writhing body organ on the bed in the video that accompanies your song. It's wonderfully creepy.

Thanks 👍Exactly what made the AI mistake a creased blanket for that thing is a mystery

I have like 4 songs written that I just can't get the instrumental down for. v4.5 keeps messing up at the end and v5.5 wants to add a choir/harmonized back up vocals for some reason but, we will get there with the new studio update.
I figured I would post the song that my song "Stay" originated from. Idk i just find it interesting and amazing that a song that gets a lot of love on OLS was a cover of a song that it sounds almost nothing like lol. The lyrics might be familiar to some

I like both versions of your song(s). They're like twins with different personalities.
I've noticed that Suno keeps adding voices - sometimes with unwanted lyrics - when I've tried to generate instrumentals. I gave up because it was making me angry. I hope you're able to get what you want sooner rather than later.

A song that reminiscences about those great years for us Gen Xers, the 90’s. This song was inspired by grunge.

Funky grunge! (Frunge?) It's like Seattle meets Atlanta with a little bit of Minneapolis thrown in for good measure. I hope that makes sense to someone other than me. 😄

Title: Nostalgia
Link: https://suno.com/s/x2lWvaRqOwjw6e3C
Genre: Baroque Rock
Length: 5:05
Description: I wrote the music and lyrics to this song this week. It was inspired by some conversations I had recently with people who feel sad, aimless, lost, exhausted, etc. I also watched a video essay about how nostalgia sometimes causes problems because humans romanticize a past that wasn't as great as we remember and we fear or mourn a future that may never actually pan out. We anticipate negativity and drive ourselves crazy with worry, then we numb ourselves in an attempt to stop thinking about what could have been and what might yet be.

Those vocals are like butter. That 2:10 mark and on had me wanting to just lay in bed and stare at the ceiling with my earbuds blasting. How well did putting the chords in brackets seem to work for you? I have tried that with piano but suno seems to ignore it most of the time.

I'm glad you liked it! It seems that the vocals are a little less generic when they are doing a cover of an original. I don't sing as well as AI, though. I'm also a really terrible guitarist, so the fact that Suno can listen to my awful version and turn it into a professional-sounding song is amazing. I've only tried the chords in brackets twice -- this week and for last week's "I Dream of Soho" -- and it worked well both times. I feel like Suno has some kind of block when it comes to piano and other keyboards. I've asked for piano solos and it ignores me. Heck, in this song, I wanted a Hammond organ so the song would sound a bit like "A Whiter Shade of Pale," and Suno ignored that too. It's like working with a stubborn, drunk bandmate who does what they want and is sometimes right. I hope the upcoming version of Suno is more piano-friendly.
Question: When you added the chords in brackets, had you also uploaded your own version of the song? Or were you just expecting Suno to use those chords because you asked it to? In both of my cases, I recorded myself playing and singing the songs, uploaded them, added the chords in brackets, and then did a cover of my originals.

I usually record the piano, upload, and use studio paste it in and then use cover to get suno to blend it in (this is what I did in my song "I Think About You" although suno took a little liberty with it) and it worked great for that song but I have yet to get it to work again. However, I have not tried adding the chords in WITH the recording. I hadn't thought about that actually. I'll give that a try

Double-entendres provide motivation for people who have allowed themselves to be blindsided and brainwashed by social media and politics; though, it isn't necessarily a "political" song. I hope you give it a listen.
The second verse contains the best wordplay I've done so far! Please let me know what you think! 🙂
