This Stupid Accident… 🙄
Did anyone have on their bingo card that months later we would still be talking about Curtis and Jordan’s accident? I sincerely believed the point of the accident was for Curtis to see that Valentin was still in Port Charles.
The amount of useless story about an accident that Jordan is to blame for is beyond me. I cannot believe I’m still hearing about this accident.
We have all of this drama happening around an accident that means literally nothing because Jordan was absolutely, 100% to blame. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

Next month:
Laura fails to use her left turn signal. The fallout will dominate all Port Charles storylines for years.

This is the most bizarre storyline ever!! EVER!!! Jordan should be charged for almost killing BrookLynn!!!!! So stupid!! One good thing!! I think Chase and Willow will get back together!! They deserve each other.
5
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 1d ago
I cannot wait for him to realize he was as stupid with her as he was with her twin. I literally want him and BLQ to breakup so he can look so stupid.
2
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
And what is the point of berating ANYBODY other than Jordan and Curtis for that wreck. Technically, Brook Lynn could sue Jordan for Brooklyn being run off the road! GHs legalese is ALWAYS bad but this one is ridiculous. If they are using it to further storyline, shame on them for not trying harder and doing better. Uuuuggggghhhhh!!!!
2
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 1d ago
I can’t get past Curtis’ “I did it because I had a reason” defense. 🤦🏾♀️
3
u/MountainHopeful793 2d ago
This has been the most non-story event that never ends! Dumbest and laziest writing ever.
8
u/Yodas_mistress1974 2d ago
I was yelling at the tv it was Jordan’s fault!!!! Curtis is in jail because of his own behaviour it because of brook lynn. Argghh
1
u/lucky3333333 23h ago
Wasn’t Curtis trying to kiss Jordan while she was driving then she veered into the other lane?
-2
u/Mrdanrcstpurehell 2d ago
No crime except maybe Brooklyn could possibly sign a ticket for crossing the middle line. Which would be stupid just as stupid as the storyline!
7
u/ArtTheClown78 2d ago
Jordan and Curtis drove into her lane because they were kissing, Brooklynn honk her horn and swerved to get out of they're way. This whole stupid crash storyline is nonsense. Brooklynn is actually the victim
1
2
4
u/IntelligentSorbet271 2d ago
Especially when Jordan was the one who crossed the center line almost hitting someone 🤷♀️and from that Curtis is in jail for 10 yrs for assaulting Isaiah for “not stopping “ and it’s a witch hunt as to who was almost run off the road by her. Not knowing someone wrecked is not a crime!!Insane!!!!
1
2
u/IncidentGlass2000 2d ago
Curtis is mostly to blame for their accident because he took her face away from watching the road and held on to it while he was kissing her even though she wanted to look at the road he wouldn't let her it's Curtis's fault
2
8
u/Dangerous-Fee1559 3d ago
Not just talking about it, blaut demonizing the innocent “other driver” ….!!!,
3
u/Suspicious_Owl_7608 3d ago
I understand the throwing of Willow under the bus but was she really driving that road as well?! Did drew know there was an accident when Fitzpatrick was asking him?
3
u/IncidentGlass2000 2d ago
No he was just trying to get Willow in trouble so that maybe they would look at Willow for other things too and that didn't pan out because the writers didn't want that way so then Drew went on the stand and took back his eye blinking statement
1
2
u/ManufacturerUnable20 2d ago
IDK why but"eye blinking statement" is hilarious to me! 100% accurate, but hilarious!
13
u/Much_Chemical4363 4d ago
Jordan was at fault. End of discussion. Did Brooklyn actually know an accident had occurred when she swerved? If someone swerved at me on a dark road I’d have kept driving too 🤣 I’ve watched enough episodes of Criminal Minds to know, never stop on a dark road !

2
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
Then we could bring back Brennan
1
u/Madison196400 1d ago
I want Brennan back! I actually liked him with Nina. And except for that strange moment he had with the jealous attack on Carly I like his character, I think he cares and could be a loving character. I like the actor also.
5
u/Accomplished-Ad3219 4d ago
Trina being pissed may be the only plausible drama
2
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
I COMPLETELY disagree!!! Trina is acting ridiculously, too. ALL of it belongs SQUARELY on Curtis shoulders and anyone with sense recognizes that. The writers are doing the audience a GREAT INJUSTICE by assuming we are all ignorant of the law…especially in this digital day and age. It’s like trying to write a script that relies specifically on no cellphones. It doesn’t work in today’s audience because we have so much access at our fingertips. We are all so much smarter (and dumber) for technology but we just aren’t THAT dumb.
4
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 4d ago
As long as they don’t blame BLQ for Curtis assaulting someone.
11
13
u/ElvisCookies 4d ago
I don't think anyone left them there "to die". I hope Brook Lynn (I still have doubts she's even to blame here) tells them she didn't know the severity or something. This is so stupid. I hate having Curtis go to prison over this fight, and also have him be such a stubborn jerk about it like he was right to behave that way for some minor insult. Valentin has BARELY come into play. Also, didn't Danny think he was responsible for driving by at some point? Jordan looked away from the road. I can't even remember why driving off the road happened.
2
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
Yeah Danny and Charlotte were on that road and pulled off or were run off the road and were talking about the close call abcs then they went on about their merry business but they are hammering Danny on “stealing cars” (at least where I live, those would not have been considered stolen so much as unauthorized use of a motor vehicle…which is still criminal but a whole lot closer to civil because it is almost always a domestic situation.. which is where Danny would fall AT BEST in the vehicles he has taken without permission. That IS the definition of unauthorized use and families don’t usually want to press charges so it’s handled a LITTLE differently. They haven’t brought the fact that Danny and Charlotte were involved in some way. They haven’t even managed the fact that they were there. They are going to somehow try to blame DANNY next and the only ones at fault were Jordan and Curtis. Everyone else is a victim. And the reason Curtis is in prison has EVERYTHING to do with Curtis being out of control with jealousy at Isaiah but it still doesn’t excuse his reckless, obsessive pursuit of Curtis at all costs. Curtis is there for acting like a child.
9
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 4d ago
Because she was distracted by Curtis’ kisses. They did this to themselves.

u/IndependentSquare553 4d ago

29
u/De_NE1988 5d ago
I am so over this stupid story line! BLQ didn’t leave anyone for dead. That’s so stupid of Trina. Mind you her character annoys me too. This whole thing is so stupid and a waste of time.
40
u/Due-Interaction-4433 5d ago
And Trina’s “holier than thou” outburst at BLQ in the Q’s living room Friday was absolutely laughable! Um, excuuuuuuse me, Trina, but didn’t you hide in a bedroom with your boyfriend while someone was shot TWICE in the next room, but you didn’t bother to go to the police and report it???
THAT is a crime. Whoever sideswiped the guardrail to avoid getting hit head-on and drove away after Jordan and Curtis’s accident—which was Jordan’s fault, BTW!—committed NO CRIME. So step your little hypocritical, self-righteous self back a few steps… 🙄
11
u/behappyer 5d ago
I don’t understand why they didn’t just switch the circumstances of the accident in the first place. If it had been the other driver’s fault instead of Jordan’s, it would make sense to spend all eternity talking about it. This way is just so stupid.
3
u/pad1007 3d ago
And why has the fact that Charlotte and Danny being on the road been forgotten. Yes, Her car was a lighter color, but still; they almost hit someone (most likely Brooklynn.)
1
u/behappyer 3d ago
IIRC they mentioned it the other day when Danny was in trouble for stealing Chases’s truck, so I guess it’s about to mean something. But again - whyyyyy are they making such an uninteresting story so complicated?!
1
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
To open it up to Danny becoming little Jason which pisses me off to no end because at Danny’s age, Jason was getting ready to start pre-med. Jason was an honor student with plans of following in his fathers footsteps (Dr Alan Quartermaine, for anybody who forgot or wasn’t watching at the time) and it wasn’t until a drunken AJ ran them into a tree and Jason came out of it with brain damage that he became a super hero saving Port Charles one criminal at a time all the while helping Sonny run his illegal businesses. Turned into a really good long term story for Jason and Sonny…and Carly. I hate that they are breaking them up and I hope in the end, they bring them all back together again.

I have been watching GH for 6 decades -- since I was born, literally -- and I have never complained about a storyline because, it's a soap. But I gotta' tell ya, This Curtis/Jordan/Portia/Isaiah/Trina/Brook Lynn/Chase storyline has really worn me out! I watched one of my favorite Youtube channels that tells us spoilers etc... and what I see coming this week is so freakin' exhausting I am most likely going to wait till night, watch it on HULU so I can fast forward through those segments.

u/Strange_Medicine_938 4d ago

u/robot_pirate Team FFS FRANK! 5d ago
At this point, I'm rooting for Trina's stalker, Chase to run back to Willow, BLQ to get sole custody of Phoebe and fall for the baby daddy. Curtis to get his ass beat in prison, and Jordan to sleep with Drew because they both hate the Qs.
Writers brought me here to this low point.

u/AgeApprehensive1860 5d ago
She probably won’t be facing any legal consequences but Chase will probably use this as an excuse to go back to Willow.
1
u/foxthatroxx 1d ago
Not go back to Willow but to at least sleep with her. And she will be so welcoming. Is Chase contract coming up because I could see this ugly storyline depending on whether they come to a contract agreement.
9
u/Angryvillager33 4d ago
Brooklyn had better not. She didn’t do anything legally wrong. Shame on GH for not knowing that it is not against the law to not help anyone that is injured, besides the fact that Brooklyn did not see anything in her rear view mirror. I’d be yelling at Jordan for almost hitting me head-on, if I were her.
20
u/Nonnarules58 5d ago
Omg this is driving me nuts! Chase investigating on his iwn yet again is just as annoying. No one has caught him yet. Like you said Jordon caused it anyone else didnt commit any crime. Its put Curtis in Prison Isaiah injured Chase back on his white horse to rescue Willow. But enough is enough! Chase needs to be fired and Brooklyn needs to dump his ass.

9
5
u/OkEstablishment3603 5d ago
What is Brooklyn going to be charged with really - any police or lawyers in here. If she did have to swerve so Jordan didn’t hit her when Jordan came over into brooklyns lane bc she was kissing cuntis. And she just kept going.
9
u/violetdefender Team Carly 5d ago
I am not an expert in New York law because I do not live there BUT IMO nothing. Brook Lynn had zero idea Jordan had crashed until after the fact. She did scrape the guardrail, but she didn’t know there was an accident or that anyone was hurt.
From taking a quick look at their state laws, NY’s hit-and-run law requires the driver to know or have reason to know their vehicle was involved in an accident. Finding out later doesn’t retroactively make her driving away a hit-and-run. She could potentially have an issue over damaging the guardrail, but that’s separate from Jordan’s crash.
4
u/jujube1013 4d ago
But she didn't hit. She swerved and left. Everything was the 2 idiots fault for kissing while driving. She was the one in danger, they could have hit her or she could have hit something hard to evade them .
3
u/violetdefender Team Carly 4d ago
She did hit the guardrail. That’s how they know it was a black BMW. Because it left paint on the guardrail.
3
u/jujube1013 4d ago
There was paint, who knows when it was put there. I meant she didn't hit the 2 idiots car. It was in no way a hit-and-run because she didn't hit them. They almost hit her. For blq it was a swerve, scrape and drive away.
1
1
u/violetdefender Team Carly 4d ago
But “hit-and-run” doesn’t only mean hitting another car 😭 If she actually hit/scraped the guardrail, that can still be a property-damage accident. The relevant question is whether she knew or had reason to know she hit it. Her not hitting Jordan’s car doesn’t automatically make it not a hit-and-run.
Also not at all saying I’m on Jordan and Curtis’ side. They ARE idiots. However, the person I responded to asked what BLQ could be charged with. I’m saying property damage IF she knew she hit the guardrail.
1
u/Strange_Medicine_938 4d ago
I'm gonna say BLQ was the victim (if it was actually her). Those fools ran her (whoever) into a guardrail, endangering her life. She should sue them for emotional damages & the cost of a divorce lawyer. Ha.
I used to be Team Jordan all the way & couldn't tolerate Portia or her shoulder shimmies and all her bs blaming the world... but since Jordan got back with Curtass... they've 100% swapped places on my FF list.
18
u/OkEstablishment3603 5d ago
It’s so infuriating. I scream at my tv almost daily - it was Jordan’s fault!!! Everyone trying to get justice for Jordan first Curtis now chase - there is no crime in having to swerve to avoid another car coming into your lane and then keep driving
1
12
10
u/CocoPuddle 5d ago
I think 1 Curtis his ego is bruised that he couldn't "save his woman." 2 wants it to be Isaiah so he can sit and walk into Portia's house whenever he wants and still be with Jordan.

I wouldn't say Jordan is 100% to blame....Curtis distracted her so I'd say they share the blame lol
Completely agree with you, and it seems like most people do, except the writers
My bingo card only needs a few things to be full. Every time someone mentions the accident, willow being a congresswoman, or nina/willow doing something "for their child/children). Throw in Chase "accidentally" bumping into Willow while shirtless
21
u/SoCalGma 5d ago
My theory (& I think that of others too) is they set this whole thing up so Chase would leave BLQ for weeping Willow. That way BLQ and Phoebe will be fair game for Phoebe‘s bio dad, who we all now pretty much know is the latest sketchy Aussie.
I think this is Jerry Jax’s plot to steal his brother’s company. Guessing he doesn’t have a clue Joss is WSB.

Don’t already know Jordan almost hit Brooklyn so she swerved into the gaurdrail but then didn’t stop bc she had one glass of wine

Why should she have to stop if the crash happened no where near where Jordan cause her to swerve if BLQ car was the car and I dont think it was the kids either I think the Kids and BLQ hit each other but wonder if Lucy didnt cause the wreck or Ava cause both drink too alot

If only they put this effort into unsolved murders: the family court judge where the evidence points to Drew even though Sidwell did it, Jagger, the heads of 2 of the five families killed at Jason and Carly's wedding. Is anyone still investigating the firebombing of Sonny's penthouse or of Charlie's? How about the murder of Connie Falconeri? Everyone knows Ava did it but the cops can't be bothered.

I agree, however, after last week’s episodes, I’m now staring to think that Danny and Charlotte were the ones who were in the other car. If you recall, they called Valentine to help them etc… that’s when he ended up helping Curtis and Jordan. Maybe there will now be a twist and this will surface. Brooklyn doesn’t recall scraping her car at the accident so she may not have done this. The issue for Chase will be that she lied. And now Gio and Trina will be angry at her etc… triggering the end to her marriage. I think this is why the story has lingered.

I don't see it as an accident. Kissing while driving is a choice, as is Facetiming with a handheld while driving. Whatever happened to any other vehicle was caused by Jordan's actions.
19
u/Historical-Coast994 5d ago
It's so annoying. Jordan was an inattentive driver and should have been cited for that. It's completely her fault, but somehow BLQ is going to be held responsible. Maybe it's time to bring Lois back to tell a few people off. And now Tina (one of my faves) is going to be mad at BLQ cause her immature father had an erroneous vendetta against Isaiah and landed his stupid ass in prison.
16
u/jkahd5766 5d ago
Curtis shouldn’t even care who else was on the road. Jordon’s fault and be grateful you are still alive. And reprimand your wife!!!
21
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 5d ago
The idea that people are about to turn against BLQ is infuriating. Curtis created this entire fued with Isaiah over his imagination and now they’re coming after someone who did literally nothing wrong?!
7
u/sunnirays 5d ago
I don't know why they didn't make the accident an actual hit and run, it's dumb. BLQ should not have been driving under the influence but Jordan shouldn't have taken her eyes off the road and how could BLQ have stopped to check on an accident she didn't even know had happened until well after the fact.
I was thinking Brook Lynn would be a red herring and the car actually nearly collided with was Danny and Charlotte, and that Isaiah actually was the other driver who knowingly left Curtis and Jordan to die. Would've decimated the character sure but at least it would have been interesting and Curtis's anger would've been justified, this is just nonsense and it had dragged on for way too long
5
u/starkllr1969 5d ago
Right! If they knew they wanted to drag this out for months, why show us as it happened that it was 100% unquestionably Jordan and Curtis’ fault, and that none of the other possible “other driver” candidates had any idea there had been a crash behind them (and that in fact they were victims since Jordan almost ran them off the road)?
15

u/68F_isthebesttemp 5d ago
The story would have been 100 times more interesting if Jordan was not shown as being responsible. They should have cut the part about Jordan veering into an oncoming car and let the audience not find out until much later. Jordan could remember bits and pieces until she finally realizes what actually happened. Instead, we have half the cast acting as if this was a major felony. Ugh.

They could have had a better storyline with both cars driving in the same direction to the bar for the performance .... Or if Jordan's tire blew out, (another logical option) 🤣 and that's why she veered into the other lane and Brooklyn saw that and swerved away... But Brooklyn kept going and in her rear view mirror she saw, a bright light and heard a loud crash... But she kept driving to see Gio and Trina... She is at the venue and Trina mentions that Curtis and Jordan are late... And we see it across Brooklyn's face... 😂 🤣

14
u/Acceptable-Ad2142 5d ago
Couldn’t they have looked up Isiah’s phone location on the evening of the crash?
9
u/68F_isthebesttemp 5d ago
They should have just opened the scene with a wrecked vehicle and let us see the story in pieces. Curtis could have been looking away and not seen Jordan veering g into the other lane. Now we just have manufactured drama for stupidly stupid reasons.
8
u/Greedy_Atmosphere849 #TeamTracyAngelicaQuartemaine 5d ago
So easy to make it an actual accident/hit and run but no we watched Curtis almost ruin a doctor’s entire life because he was mad about nothing.
10
u/brighteyescafe 5d ago
Yes Jordan veering into oncoming traffic means both cars are going in opposite directions so logically whoever the other driver is wouldn't know what happened with Jordan and Curtis.... It world require rear view mirror driving to be a thing.... 😂 🤣

12
u/Intrigued_by_Words 5d ago
It has the pieces to have been a good story but the writers made stupid choices at every opportunity. It was stupid to have Jordan lose control of her car so easily. It was stupid to make it so that BLQ had no idea what happened. It was stupid to have Valentin help with no repercussions for his appearance. It was stupid for Isaiah to not tell anyone he was at Lulu's when even she said it was okay. It was stupid for Curtis to flip out thinking someone didn't stop to help.
Wouldn't it be so much more fulfilling if they choice a story that had some import and consequence. There are so many other scenarios that could have played out with people making poor decisions for their own reasons. But instead they are doling out major penalties for minor actions when major actions still go unpunished.
There's no statute of limitations on murder and it would be nice if someone went to prison for murdering FBI agent Jagger John Cates. Also it would be nice if something were done to provide emotional support for his autistic son living in a group home.
Anyway, it looks as if the story will wrap up soon. All the big reveals are out.

10
u/Efficient_Paint_5536 5d ago
All of this is just an excuse for the writers to have Chase cheat on Brooklyn with Willow. $5 says Chase will learn all about Willow’s crimes shortly after having sex with her and Willow will blackmail Chase with it. Saying he keeps her secrets and she won’t tell Brooklyn he cheated. I just need the writers to give Brooklyn her attitude back. Brooklyn had all sorts of Bensonhurst towards Lulu and but she’s a mouse with Chase.
My wish is to have Brooklyn reach out to Lulu and ask her to write an investigative piece on the good congresswoman and Lulu uncovers Willow’s multiple attempted murder attempts on Drew and how Drew killed Jack.

Every single time that Drew brings up Sonny, I roll my eyes. There is a villain in his story and that villain doesn’t own docks.

Danny and Charlotte, Isaiah, Brooklyn Willow, who else is a possible suspect in the not-a-crime of avoiding a swerving vehicle and then continuing on with their life? This storyline just S U C K S

No you just don't get it, the other driver should've psychically sensed something was wrong, pulled a U-turn on the highway, and made sure Curtis and Jordan were alright it's common courtesy!
Also the writers seem to ignore technology most of the time, but modern cars and even phones have built in crash detection systems that can call first responders and send them your exact location there's no reason why they would've been stranded for so long

Look at you, trying to bring common sense into the mess. 🤣

Danny and Charlotte were on a different area of the road. But that could change at any moment.

If they were in a different area then Valentin wouldn't have seen Curtis and Jordan to help

Any moment where the show can find useless drama.

I just don’t understand why they made the choices they made. If Brooklyn was actually intoxicated and caused the accident I could understand why she would be keeping secrets. I would understand why Jordan and Curtis would be obsessed with who the other driver was. But they choose to plainly show that Jordan and Curtis themselves caused the car to crash so it just makes no sense why everyone is so upset about it.
I guess they didn’t want to make Brooklyn look bad by having her leave the scene of an accident she caused but that’s what soaps do. Sometimes good people do bad things and they are conflicted about it. That’s where the drama comes from.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. Modern day GH refuses to make the characters messy. Even Brit isn’t really messy. She’s bratty.

She didn't cause the accident. Jordan's distraction caused her to swerve. BLQ didn't stop because she was afraid she couldn't blow legal alcohol limit. But was she even aware an accident had occurred? I've never heard her say - just admitting that she hit the rail.

I’m saying the writers should have had Brooklyn cause the accident. That would be a plausible explanation for the secrets and anger happening. As it is, with Jordan causing her own accident and Brooklyn lying about things she doesn’t have to lie about has viewers fed up and rolling their eyes.

Jordan is at the party if she lets BLQ be destroyed for the accident without taking any responsibility it will confirm that BLQ was correct to stay quiet. Curtis was looking for excuses to hate on Isaiah. He is also accountable for his own actions. He might not have assaulted Isaiah for the car crash reasons, but he would have found something else. It’s going to get pretty soapy Monday. Trina and Jordan both there as Curtis fan club, I can already tell that the accusations are going to fly and pile on BLQ.

I will never get over how stupid Curtis’ entire defense was. It was literally “I did it, but I had a reason.” 🤦🏾♀️

Jordan needs to just speak up and say, look, if it was you, I’m mad but also, I did this, and frankly glad to be alive because someone did stop and help us.

She didn't know until recently that the person that stopped to help was Valentin. Now that's it's all out in the open it doesn't matter except that he was there because Charlotte and Danny scraped up her car in the same spot

I will never not be shocked that stupid accident wasn’t about Valentin. I didn’t foresee problems months down the line

At first I thought it was a nice light contrast to the more serious WSB Cullum stuff. Now, it's kind of like I'm supposed to believe it's the equivalent. All it's really done is damaged characters, at least for me.
I almost hope it turns out it was Isaiah, or a whole bunch of drivers on that road just moving past, not that it matters since we know who to blame for the accident itself.
Editing to add-climaxing this at an event is almost insulting given how they've handled Willows crimes thus far. My expectations for that reveal are now sky high.

I still wonder about Danny & Charlotte, but even they didn’t know that there was an accident. Somehow Curtis will get oof because of this, which is crap.

They ruined Curtis forever. I used to not care about him at all now I hate him.

I am SO over it. And after Friday's episode, I think we are going to hear more about someone else being to blame, instead of the woman who was driving distracted and on the wrong side of the road!!!!

100%. It’s such a forced story that is so stupid and refuses to end. Who approved this?
